Ferne McCann has revealed the heartbreaking reason she is leaving her ITV show My Family And Me – and it was all because of a question her daughter Sunday asked her.
Earlier this month, the reality TV personality, 34, confirmed that the next series of her long-running reality show will be her last.
She is best known for her regular appearances on The Only Way Is Essex and has documented her journey from pregnancy and single parenthood to being an engaged mother of two on ITVBe shows First Time Mum and My Family And Me.
But she is now ready to pull the plug after making the “difficult decision” with her businessman fiance Lorri Haines and her six-year-old daughter Sunday, her daughter with ex-partner Arthur Collins.

‘And I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know…’ It made me feel uncomfortable, because I don’t want her to feel like she’s different…
“After that it felt like a completely different ball game, so I went away and figured out what I was feeling, and I felt like it was the right time to stop.”
She added that although Sunday has been on the show since she was born, she had “never really” seen him and was “unaware” of the situation, until that question.
Ferne confirmed the news that the show would not be returning to her 2.9 million Instagram followers earlier this month.
She wrote: ‘After 13 incredible series, I have made the very difficult decision that this @fernemyfamandme series will be my last.
‘Where do I start? First of all, a huge thank you to each of you who watched my show and were on our family trip with us.
‘This show has been an incredible part of my life for the last seven years and what a journey it has been filming from when I was pregnant on Sunday until now.
‘Your support and loyalty to me and my family has, at times, encouraged me more than you will ever imagine. Thank you.’

Taking to Instagram, McCann confirmed she’s ready to pull the plug after making the “difficult decision” with her businessman fiancé Haines and their daughter.
Ferne, who is also mother to her 14-month-old son Finty with Lorri, added: “Since the day I started filming, I have poured my heart and soul into the series.
‘I truly feel like I have laughed, cried, loved and lived with you, sharing all the ups and downs.
‘This decision has not been easy, but it seems that now is the right time for a change.
‘I made this decision with my children in mind (especially Sunday, who has been on this entire journey with me).
“They are my absolute priority and Sunday is now at an age where she is very much her little person and I want her to go out and take her own path.”
‘I am eternally grateful to every person who watched the show, supported us and was there through it all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Shortly after, Lorri showed her support and praised her future wife in the comments.
He wrote: ‘Awww it’s definitely been a fun few years! I enjoyed filming with you and everyone involved.
Ferne, who is also mother to her 14-month-old son Finty with Lorri, added: “Since the day I started filming, I have poured my heart and soul into the series.”
Shortly after, Lorri showed her support and praised her future wife in the comments.
‘I am very proud of you for making this decision for yourself, the family and especially for the children. There are so many bigger things on the horizon that are very exciting. come on x’
The show, which began as Ferne McCann: First Time Mum and initially followed her firstborn on Sunday, has had 13 series and 7 years.
The show changed titles in 2023 when Ferne welcomed her second daughter, Finty.
Ferne rose to fame in 2013 when she joined the cast of The Only Way Is Essex for its ninth series.
He has since appeared on Celebs Go Dating and I’m A Celebrity, the latter finishing in third place.
