Ferne McCann says she has her heart set on acting and plans to leave the complicated world of reality TV behind after her stint on Dancing On Ice.
The TV personality, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2013, quit her ITV show My Family And Me last year after previously appearing on Celebrity: SAS Who Dares Wins and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. !
Now Ferne hopes to leave reality TV as she looks to “explore acting opportunities” and hopes to “create a film legacy.”
The mother of two also said she hopes to dive into production and wants to create a film about her life story, with Hollywood actress Florence Pugh in the lead.
she said The mirror: ‘In 2025 I will explore acting opportunities. I would love to do something really cool, produce something and create a cinematic legacy, maybe a movie of my life, why not?
‘I have a good story to tell and I would like to appear in it too. Maybe Florence Pugh could play me. I love her. I’ve already done one non-West End performance in Gatsby and I’ve always loved acting, so Dancing On Ice will give me that opportunity to act.

Ferne previously worked with Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper on Drama vs Reality in 2021, which gave her insight into the industry.
He added: “It was incredible. I was basically shooting a machine gun out of a helicopter. It was sensational and Tom said that of all the reality stars who filmed that ad, I would be the one he would work with again and I would be a pretty good action star. Watch out for Lara Croft.
It comes after Ferne fought back tears as her daughter Sunday watched her make her debut on Dancing on Ice on Sunday night.

“At first I found it very frustrating. I told the coaches I just couldn’t understand it. And I was wondering what I had signed up for.
