‘It hurt, it was my lowest point’: Emotional Ferne McCann breaks down in tears as she addresses leaked voice memos and pregnant star admits she’s been in therapy ever since
Ferne McCann broke down in tears on This Morning on Wednesday while discussing the scandal over her leaked voice memos.
The pregnant reality star, 32, described it as her “lowest moment” and admitted she has been in therapy since the incident.
In November 2022, an anonymous Instagram account, named Lady Whistledown after the person who shared secret Bridgerton gossip, posted a series of voicemails from a woman they claimed was Ferne.
One heard a woman’s voice label one of Arthur Collins’ acid attacker’s victims a ‘dumb bitch’, while another saw Ferne accused of embarrassing Sam Faiers.
Ferne, who is expecting her first child with fiancee Lorri Haines, 31, said she was a “different person” now and that the infamous recordings occurred six years ago when she was in a “vulnerable situation”.

The former TOWIE star was shown a clip from his current show The Mummy Diaries, which documented the latest scandal and its fallout.
Struggling to watch, Ferne said: “I wear my heart on my sleeves and I like to be transparent with my viewers.”
‘I have to put the cameras down and it’s really warts and all. I can’t just not include the hard times.
He went on to describe the incident as not his “finest moment” and said that he had attempted to contact those injured in the incident.
“It was not my best moment, it was a difficult moment in my life.”
“I need to take this opportunity again to publicly apologize again, and I’ve reached out to those people, but it’s a criminal investigation, so I can’t say much.”
She continued: “The voice notes were from a time when I was in a very vulnerable situation about six years ago, I’ve been in therapy for six years since then, I’m a different person.”
In an attempt to find something positive in the sad situation, Ferne said: “I know my story will be able to help a lot of women and until then, unfortunately, I can’t say much.”
Ferne previously revealed that her new series ‘address’, voice memos leak, but can’t reveal ‘full truth’ for legal reasons.
Speaking on This Morning, he again referred to the ongoing investigation: “I understand it’s really confusing, and I have this burning desire to share everything that happened to me and why I said these things but I can’t, there will be a when I can, so I hope people can be patient with me until then.’
“Of course it hurt, it was some of my lowest moments, the first time mom has been a lifesaver for me.”
