Fern Britton has hinted she is in talks with This Morning bosses about returning to the show, 15 years after she left.
The presenter, 66, revealed she was approached by ITV to make a series of films for the show, following her guest appearance earlier this year.
speaking to Woman and Home MagazineFern also reflected on her “difficult” divorce from celebrity chef Phil Vickery and vowed she will never marry again.
She said: “When my interview was over and I left the studio, a (member of the) production team came up to me and said, ‘Would you like to make some small films with us?’
‘That conversation is yet to be had, but those little four-minute movies every now and then? Perfect. If I could make them in Cornwall it would be even more perfect!’

‘Many of the team I worked with are still there and it was a real trip down memory lane. It was wonderful to be around people who meant a lot to me.
“The morning I quit, I hadn’t even thought about leaving the show, so I left behind a lot of good things and a lot of good friends, so (coming back) was lovely.”
After her time on Celebrity Big Brother, fans were reminded of how good Fern is on camera.
Rumors then began to circulate that she might return to This Morning, 15 years after her dramatic exit following a row with Phillip Schofield.
Fern, slightly evading the topic, said: ‘Doing (television) interviews would be the dream. I would really like to do something with politics. I am not interested in political parties but in politicians and where the minds of those people we vote for are.
“I don’t care what party they are on, as long as they speak honestly to the country to understand what is happening in the world, how shitty it was to leave Europe and how desperately they are trying to cover up the terrible things that are happening because of it.
‘Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard get my vote. It’s very good to see Cat back. She has been to the United States and has gained more experience, but to viewers she is fresh.
‘Fresh, feminine, more mature, experienced and very nice – she has a lot going on (for her) and Ben is just 100% charming.

Fern said goodbye to This Morning in 2009 following a dispute with co-host Phillip Schofield.
Speaking to Women & Home magazine, Fern also reflected on her “difficult” divorce from celebrity chef Phil Vickery and vowed she will never marry again.
“We were working together over 20 years ago on stuff, so it was cool to see.”
During the interview, Ferne reflected on her divorce from Phil.
The TV star has been married twice – firstly to TV star Clive Jones CBE and secondly to celebrity chef Phil Vickery, 63.
Fern and Phil announced that they had separated after two decades of “happy” marriage with almost identical tweets shared in 2020.
Phil was later seen kissing Fern’s best friend Lorraine Stanton in 2022, but Fern insisted they remain good friends.
Fern revealed she now has a more distant relationship with Phil, with whom she shares daughter Winnie, 22, in a recent interview with Woman and Home magazine.
Fern said: ‘The breakdown of my marriage was a very difficult time. Phil celebrated 20 years of my life and we share a daughter. It’s not ideal that our marriage didn’t work out, but it didn’t work out towards the end and here we are.
‘Now, in general, there is no more pain or feeling. Winnie wants to see us both happy and calm, so he and I connect on important topics like ‘Is Winnie okay?’ or ‘Do you think we should get together and buy her a new car because the old one is older than her now?’
‘On those basic levels (we connect), but I don’t need to know what he’s doing in his personal life. That’s no longer my business.
‘I’ve had a lot of therapy for about 12 years. We have breaks, but my therapist is a big part of my life and has guided me through some bleak things. ‘

Fern said of their separation: “Now there’s generally no pain or feeling anymore.” Winnie wants to see us both happy and calm, so he and I connect on important topics like ‘Is Winnie okay?’
Looking to the future, Fern, who is also mother to twins Jack and Harry, 30, and daughter Grace, 27, said: “Love would be wonderful. I’m not looking for it but if it comes I’ll embrace it.” open.
‘I never want to get married again. I don’t want to live with anyone ever again.
‘It’s enough to take care of myself and I’ve done enough taking care of other people. I haven’t dated anyone properly in 25 years. It has been a long time!
Fern spoke candidly to Woman & Home magazine about love, sex and This Morning
Fern famously said Good Housekeeping in 2018: ‘Sex is great, but so is a cup of tea.’ There’s nothing nicer than lying down with a cup of tea, hugging and chatting: that’s love.’
And he doubled down on his comments, as Fern shared: “Is sex important for a 60-year-old woman?” It’s a question I’ve been asking myself.
“It’s not hugely important but, for me, it’s more about exposing yourself to the eyes of a stranger and (thinking), ‘Will they criticize me badly?’ Do I want to be criticized?
‘I want the ideal sex, that is romantic, gentle, satisfying and that looks into each other’s eyes. No gymnastics, no accessories to wear or use, no sex for sex.
“It’s much more about having someone you really like as a person and then, of course, maybe you’d have to cast someone with a big beer belly and furry ears.”
‘Well, if I love him, it’ll be fine! “To be seen, that’s what we would all prefer.”
Fern got candid about her love life, revealing: “I want the ideal sex, which is romantic, gentle, satisfying and looks you in the eye.” No gymnastics
Fern insisted: ‘I never want to get married again. I don’t want to live with anyone ever again. It’s enough for me to take care of myself and I’ve already done enough taking care of others.’
However, Fern admitted: ‘Love would be wonderful. I’m not looking for it but if it comes I will receive it with open arms.’
The year she married Phil, Fern divorced her first husband, Clive Jones, the former chief executive of ITV News and Regions.
In 2022, Fern revealed that their separation was caused by a breakup that began when it was revealed that she was smarter than him.
Fern remembered in the Walking the dog with Emily Dean podcast: ‘He had this title and I didn’t. I went secretly and took the Mensa (test).
She continued: ‘I lied, I said I was going somewhere else and it took me a day to do this test. I passed… and pretty well too.
“Then he got furious and did it because he has a huge brain. But he’s not a problem solver and he didn’t get it. Then he opened an immense gap for himself.”
The couple had three children together and began dating while Clive was still married.
Fern broke up their relationship after a year, but Clive turned up at her door two days later and revealed that he had left his wife for her.
The couple married in 1988 and separated in 2020.
