The Duchess of York has revealed how the queen played a role in the planning of Princess Eugenie's wedding at St George's Chapel earlier this month.
Speaking to Hello! magazine on the big day, Fergie paid a great tribute to His Majesty for his role in the celebrations.
"I can not be more grateful to Eugenie's grandmother for making this day so memorable," she explained.
"I am very grateful for all the hard work and kindness behind the scenes to make such a special day for our daughter."
He also mentioned the princess's decision to wear a wedding dress with a lower back and to renounce a veil to show her scar from a child operation to correct scoliosis.
"She was so proud of Eugenie standing and showing her scar, she is an inspiration to young women around the world," she said.
Mother of the Bride Fergie thanked the Queen for making the wedding of her daughter, Princess Eugenie, in the Chapel of St. George on October 12th "so memorable"
Prince Andrew, photographed with his ex-wife at Eugenie's wedding, previously revealed that it was the queen who insisted that her daughter marry in the chapel of St. George
Prince Andrew previously hinted at his mother's participation in an interview with ITV & # 39; s This Morning just before the wedding ceremony.
He explained that despite complaints from some sectors about the scale and cost of Eugenie's celebrations, it was the queen who wanted her granddaughter to marry in the chapel of St. George.
"No matter who you are, all approvals go through the Queen anyway," he said.
"The queen said very firmly that San Jorge is where she is going to get married, so I told her if mom, turn right, say hello and continue."
The queen, photographed yesterday at Ascot, allegedly played a role in the preparations for the wedding of her granddaughter Eugenie earlier this month
Fergie has not hidden her deep admiration for her former mother-in-law and previously named the Queen, 92, as her role model.
In an interview with Harper & # 39; s Bazaar, she described how she still "loves and admires" the monarch, despite Prince Andrew having separated from his son more than 20 years ago.
"The queen and I always get along, we still do," he said. I defend everything that His Majesty represents, so he has renounced his life. For her country, she is disinterested to the grave.
The Duchess is also famous for being close to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, which regularly sparked rumors that they might one day remarry.
Fergie, in a photo bowing to the queen with her daughter Princess Beatriz at the Royal Ascot 2018, has always spoken of her admiration for the monarch.
Fergie and Andrew, photographed at Royal Ascot with Beatrice in 2018, have remained close since their divorce in 1996 and it is often speculated that they will eventually remarry.
Sarah and Andrew separated in 1992 after only six years of marriage and divorced four years later, but she still refers to her ex-husband as her "family".
In an interview with the Kyle and Jackie O program on Australian radio in 2016, the Duchess revealed intriguingly that she and Prince Andrew have never separated.
I always think, "Do we really have?" We are divorced to each other at this time. We have never really left each other.
"You're still together," Kyle pressed.
& # 39; Yes, 'she replied. & # 39; I think happily ever after … I'm actually writing a book about that too.

Fergie has considered her daughter an "inspiration" for wearing a dress that revealed her scar from a child operation to correct scoliosis.
In another interview with Hello! At the end of last year, the magazine talked about how she and Andrew have worked to provide a family unit for their two daughters despite their separation.
"Actually, a table can not stand on three legs, so we have Duke, me and the two girls," he said.
& # 39; We are a family unit and lead by example. We support each other emotionally and support each other in health matters. "
While both Fergie and Andrew have been in other relationships since they separated, their lives have remained inextricably linked and none of them has remarried.
Fergie has continued to share Andrew's house at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, where she has her own rooms in a separate hallway.
And in 2014, the couple bought a 13 million pound chalet in the ski resort of Verbier.
