Allegedly, a female police officer has locked up an 11-year-old boy in a cell and sought him in a comic book, although he was not suspected of doing anything wrong.
The 29-year-old officer was charged Thursday with mistreatment after the alleged incident in Hobart on January 14.
The officer has been taken out of active service and will appear at a later date in Hobart Magistrates Court.
