HORRIBLE MOMENT A criminal with previous arrests of ELEVEN hits an NYPD cop in the head with a bottle and then attacks her as she checks out a Bronx smoke shop

- The cop is stationed in Queens but was in the Bronx to search the smokehouse
- She was taken to hospital for treatment and it was determined that she was in stable condition
A surveillance camera captured the moment a man randomly hit a New York police officer in the head with a bottle.
The clip, posted to NYC Scoop’s Twitter page, shows the cop standing outside a deli in the Bronx just before 2 p.m. Monday when the man comes out of nowhere behind her and starts hitting her and her partner.
After he made contact for the first time, he began pounding her male partner, and soon a third officer put him in a headlock. Meanwhile, the female officer ran out onto the road with her head in her hand.
The injured policeman, who has not been identified, was reportedly taken to St Barnabas Hospital, where she was treated and was determined to be in a stable condition.
The man has been identified as 45-year-old Jose Garcia of Kingsbridge Heights New York PostAnd it was said that he had 11 previous arrests.

The attack occurred near 231st Street and Broadway outside the Delicious Deli and Alltown Car Service at approximately 1.40pm on 17 April.
According to the New York City Scoop, the woman who was attacked was an officer at the 50th Precinct in Queens. Sources told the newspaper that she was in the Bronx inspecting a smoke shop as a number of smoking shops had started selling cannabis illegally.
The incident was recorded via surveillance footage, which also shows two men in the street filming before the attack. In another video, it appears that the police were conducting an operation on delicious foods that attracted the attention of the public.

In a video filmed by one of the two men, the man said to be Garcia pulls a glass bottle from his right pocket, then smashes the officer’s head.
After she swerved off her head she fell to the ground and shattered, whereupon he proceeded to fist-hit her and her partner.
The New York City mayor, who had been seen just beforehand walking from a parked truck toward the deli, appears in frame and meets the attacker’s arrest.
Police told the newspaper that Garcia was arrested and charged with assault, obstruction of government administration, resisting arrest, menace, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
