Female drunk driver, 48, with her children in the back seat, crashing her car against a woman pushing two young children into a pram

A female driver has been arrested after plowing her car into a woman pushing two children into a pram while driving over the drink drive limit and with her two children in the back seat.
The crash occurred on Monday at 8.30 am in Ermington, northwest of Sydney.
The 48-year-old woman was driving on William Street when she hit a 55-year-old woman by the side of the road while pushing a pram that carried a two-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl.

The girl suffered a large cut on her knee and the boy had a swelling in the face. The woman sustained a leg injury and all three were taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.
The driver's breath test was positive for alcohol and she returned an alleged value of 0.09.
Her passengers – two children aged eight and ten years – were not injured.
She was accused of mid-range PCA and her license has been suspended. She was released on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, to appear in the local court of Parramatta.
The investigation is continuing and the police expect to institute further charges.
A risk report has been submitted to the Ministry of Family and Community Services.
