A Dallas Cowboys fan, his wife and daughter had their lives “upended” by a brutal attack in their first game.
Wenceslao González, a lifelong Cowboys supporter, received tickets to see Dallas play the Baltimore Ravens on September 22 as a birthday gift from his wife Lindsey and daughter Emma.
But as they prepared to leave the team’s billion-dollar AT&T Stadium, they saw a man yelling at a young woman who was “sobbing.”
In an effort to calm the situation, Wenceslao intervened and became involved in an argument with the man, who has since been identified as 32-year-old Rafael Ramirez.
Ramirez punched Wenceslao in the face before attacking Lindsey as she tried to separate the two men.

Lindsey Gonzalez, 40, suffered facial damage, including a broken jaw and a broken nose.
Ramirez punched Lindsey in the head, knocking her unconscious with a single blow. He then kicked him in the face as he lay on the ground.

“I was trying to separate them. And that’s all I remember. The next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital.
Lindsey said he suffered 12 fractures to his face and damage to his left eye, left cheek and nose. She also broke her jaw.
The picture of Lindsey in hospital shows the serious injuries she suffered, with her right eye barely able to open due to swelling. She underwent surgery on September 24.
Wenceslao also suffered a broken foot in the incident, so both have not been able to work.

Ramirez was arrested and charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, but bonded out of the Tarrant County Jail on Sept. 23, according to local reports.
“I never wish harm on anyone or want any harm to happen to anyone,” Lindsey said.
“However, I want him to pay for what he has done and I want it to be fair and equitable.” Our whole world has been turned upside down. Our lives may never be the same after this.
Lindsey also admitted that the family “never wants to go back” to the Cowboys stadium.
His daughter Emma also criticized the authorities for their slow response.
She said: “It was really frustrating that there was no more police presence, there was no security to do the job they were supposed to do.”
