A woman visiting Australia from China disappeared from a Surfers Paradise hotel more than seven months ago and has not been seen since.

Jianming Xia, 58, was part of a tour group visiting the Gold Coast when she disappeared from her View Avenue hotel on October 18 last year.

Ms Xia was last seen carrying a distinctive yellow bag, but left her suitcase at the accommodation.

He contacted an associate at the time and informed him that he would be leaving the touring group and returning to China in November.

Ms Xia, 58, was part of a tour group visiting the Gold Coast when she disappeared from her View Avenue hotel (pictured) on October 18 last year.

But Ms Xia did not return to China and has not been seen since, despite extensive searches by Queensland Police.

She is described as having a medium build and brown hair.
