Social media exploded after news broke that Barron Trump is officially entering politics, as he will serve as his father’s delegate to the Republican National Convention later this year.
Barron, who just turned 18 in March, was elected as one of Florida’s 41 at-large delegates to the national Republican meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in mid-July.
He will be one of an estimated 2,429 delegates expected to officially nominate his father as the Republican candidate for the 2024 race.
This led many on social media to worry and delight in the fact that they felt this meant that Trump’s youngest son was now an “easy target” for attack and that his mother would let her son open himself to such criticism.
Rob Vorcek wrote: “I firmly believe this is going to end very badly. Now he’s easy prey for the media. I’m actually surprised. I thought [Barron’s mother] Melania would do everything she could to prevent it, but if the now-adult Barron personally made the decision to participate in his father’s circus, so be it.

“Before Republicans clutch their pearls about whatever Barron Trump is trending again, maybe they should apologize to Malia and Sasha Obama, Chelsea Clinton, David Hogg, Greta Thunberg and every single girl who forced give birth,” wrote another.
Tristan Snell joked: “Later this year, maybe Barron Trump will be a fake Trump voter in Florida, after Biden wins Florida in November.”
Barron has largely stayed out of the public eye, but rose to prominence this week after a judge delayed his father’s hush money trial in New York so he could attend Barron’s high school graduation. Barron on May 17.
Regardless of age, the first child has often been treated harshly on social media by liberals and even some members of the mainstream media.
Former NBC News executive Mike Sington said Barron was “fair game” after the birthday that marks the adulthoot. He later deleted the tweet after facing harsh backlash and criticism online.

He currently lives in Florida with his parents and is considering which college to attend with the help of his mother Melania.
Barron has stayed almost completely out of the spotlight for much of his childhood, as much of his adolescence took place during his father Donald Trump’s tenure in the White House.
He was the first child to grow up in the White House since JFK Jr in 1963, and Barron has lived through many of his family’s scandals as a teenager.
In January 2018, she was not yet 12 years old when the media was engulfed by porn star Stormy Daniels’ explosive claims that she had an affair with Donald just four months after Barron’s birth.
During his presidency, Trump’s staunchest critics even resorted to criticizing the young man as a way of attacking his father.

A Saturday Night Live writer who made a tasteless joke about Barron Trump on Twitter has apologized for her “inexcusable” actions after she was suspended from the show.
