A 13-year-old girl went missing for a week after accepting a lift from a stranger.

The Sunshine Coast teenager, most recently seen on April 18, said she was planning to travel to Bowen Hills – about two and a half hours south by train and bus.

Detectives revealed that the girl on Thursday evening in Woodridge was engaged in a fight with another young girl.

Friends of the girl said they were worried that she had been kidnapped after sharing her image on social media.
