Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, the Bucharest football club, thinks he knows the blame for the recent bad shape of his team – the players have too much sex.
The 1986 European Cup winners, formerly known as Steaua Bucharest, Romania’s most successful club with 26 national titles, have not won their last three games, and Becali told local media that the players were spending too much time with their girlfriends.
“My players make love to their girlfriends too often, that’s why they’re not playing so well lately,” he said after humble Chindia Targoviste after FCSB’s 1-1 home game.

The 61-year-old owner called the Romanian national team and FCSB striker Florinel Coman
That result left them fourth in the rankings, eight points behind leaders CFR Cluj while the season enters the play-offs.
“Like Florinel Coman [FCSB striker] would have rested … but he does other things, “added Becali.
61-year-old Becali, who earned a fortune in real estate, praised CFR Cluj coach and former Chelsea, just returned to Dan Petrescu for restoring discipline at the club.
“Look at Dan Petrescu,” said Becali. “CFR players only have sex once a week. They only meet women once a week. ”
CFR officials could not be reached for comment.
