“FC Bayern faces potential transfer setback with Osimhen”

A change of the alleged dream player Victor Osimhen to FC Bayern is apparently becoming more and more distant.

As the “Football Insider” portal reports, citing unnamed sources, Manchester United can now calculate the best chances of signing the goalscorer from Serie A leaders SSC Napoli.

Accordingly, the English record champions would have to put together at least one transfer package that corresponds to the rumored offer from Paris Saint-Germain. The French are reportedly offering around €150m for Osimhen, whose market value is estimated at “only” €100m.

In addition to ManUnited and PSG, Chelsea should also deal with Osimhen. Most recently, however, it was said that the asking price was too high for the blues. They fear that in the event of a transfer on these terms, they will violate the rules of financial fair play and possibly be penalized.

Osimhen moved from OSC Lille to Naples in 2020 for 75 million euros. He has recorded 54 goals and 14 assists in 94 competitive games for the Italians so far.

FC Bayern: Victor Osimhen at the top of the shopping list?

These numbers had also brought FC Bayern to the scene. Even ahead of other candidates like Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Randal Kolo Muani (Eintracht Frankfurt), the 24-year-old Nigerian (contract until 2025) is said to have made it to the top of the German record champions’ striker shopping list.

However, those responsible for sports director Hasan Salihamidzic are unlikely to be able to meet the financial framework of the deal. In addition, the “kicker” reported a few weeks ago that Osimhen was tending to move to the English Premier League instead of returning to the Bundesliga.

In 2018/2019, today’s overflight at VfL Wolfsburg flopped mercilessly. Osimhen then landed in Lille in 2019 and two years later in Naples via Belgian club RSC Charleroi.
