Fatty Vautin sends the football panel into hysterics with a VERY rude story about what happened to Cameron Smith in the bathrooms at Suncorp Stadium during the Broncos vs Cowboys clash

  • NRL great Paul Vautin showed off his quick wits on Friday
  • ‘Fatty’ recalled an awkward interaction she witnessed
  • Involved a football fan and Cameron Smith in the bathroom
  • It was at Suncorp Stadium where the Broncos beat the Cowboys

NRL comedian Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin was in his prime on Friday night, detailing on live TV a bizarre interaction between an overzealous football fan and Melbourne Storm great Cameron Smith in the toilets at the stadium Suncorp.

Vautin, 63, is renowned for his quick wit, and he left his Channel Nine panel colleagues in stitches as he recalled the story.

Speaking at the end of the second round clash between the Broncos and Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium, Vautin didn’t hold back, much to everyone’s amusement.

“We were on the bum (toilet) earlier and Cameron was having a buzz (pee),” he said.

‘One guy then tapped Cameron on the shoulder and said ‘can I have a picture?

It was not the right time.

Never afraid of being politically incorrect, Vautin said: “I think he (Smith) was worried about a bit of shrinkage,” leaving the panel, which also included commentator James Bracey and football legend Brad Fittler, with fits of laughter.

It is not the first time that Vautin has gone rogue with the cameras rolling.

In 2019, the premiership-winning Sea Eagles captain stitched up fellow commentator Andrew ‘Joey’ Johns after he was awarded a fielding escort penalty during a match between the Dragons and Storm.

“Joey, explain to us what an escort is,” Vautin said wryly.

After several seconds of laughter from the commentary team, Johns finally managed to pull himself together.

“A glitch here with my microphone, something’s wrong with my microphone,” he said, as the laughs, which also involved Johnathan Thurston, continued in the background.

Vautin was a popular host of Nine’s The Footy Show from 1994 until Erin Molan took over in 2018.
