Social media users swoon over an adorable video of a San Diego dad teaching his daughter to braid her hair – as his own mom gives him instructions.
Jamir Grigsby, 27, recently shared a video of the multi-generational sweet moment Twitter and Instagram, showing him how to braid the natural hair of five-year-old Amirah.
His mother Tonnette DeCree, 60, can be heard behind the camera and patiently directs Jamir as he practices the valuable skill.

“My mom gave me a tutorial on how to braid my daughter’s hair … lol Imma keep you posted when I finally know …” Jamir tweeted on July 12.
As the video begins, he stands behind Amirah brushing the top half of her hair while the bottom half is in a ponytail on her neck.
Jamir then divides the hair into sections to start braiding, checking with his mom to see if he’s doing well and getting confirmation.
‘There you go. Just like that. There you go. Perfect, Jamir! she tells him.
As the little girl starts fidgeting, her grandmother reminds her to keep quiet and tells her her father is doing well.
The video breaks off halfway through his first braid – the whole process can take hours – but Jamir clearly learns quickly.
