Gareth Pursehouse’s father, accused of killing the former Playboy model and LA sex therapist Amie Harwick, was banned from him at the same time as his son, according to legal documents obtained by DailyMail.com.
Harwick, 38, received a protective order against Pursehouse in 2011 after their relationship ended.
Legal protection expired just a few weeks before the 6’4 ” computer programmer attacked her at her home in Hollywood Hills last Saturday, resulting in her death from a three-story fall from a balcony.
Just a year before Harwick sought legal protection from Pursehouse, his British father Paul also became the subject of a restrictive order from his ex-fiancé Deborah Vail, revealing judicial archives in California.

Pursehouse’s father Paul, who died last July, also had a restraining order against him by his ex-fiancé Deborah Vail (pictured together). The 69-year-old real estate agent in San Diego claimed that Paul “had harassed me by phone, email, personally and through my friends”
Paul, who died eight months ago, was hit in 2009 by a protection order at Vail.
The 69-year-old broker in San Diego claimed that Paul “had harassed me by phone, email, personally and through my friends.”
“He has shown about three of my community events a week in recent weeks, trying to see me and talk to me,” Vail wrote to the court.
“I have repeatedly told him that we are over and that I want nothing to do with him, but he refuses to leave me alone and his intimidation and obsession with me seems to escalate.
“I’ve also had countless conversations that I believe Paul is calling to bother me. Moreover, Paul is harassing my friends, including my friend Joanne, who sent me a warning email in which she has repeatedly tried to tell him to leave me alone and remind him that everything is over, “Vail added.
“She wrote that he could not stop talking about me and continues to hope that there is a future for us and refuses to say no. She also warned me that “he is absolutely obsessed with me.”
Before they separated, the couple had lived together in Oceanside, south of Los Angeles. Residency records show that Pursehouse later moved to an apartment in San Diego before his death in July last year.
Paul, whose MySpace account still shows a picture of him and Vail together, appealed the decision of the California court to place a three-year restrictive order against him, but the court of appeal unanimously confirmed the 2010 ruling.
A year later, his son was subjected to the same form of protection order after a bitter break with his sex therapist girlfriend Harwick.

Friends told DailyMail.com that Harwick described Pursehouse as her “crazy ex,” while LA court reports show that she applied for a second home ban in 2012, although the second order was rejected after not following her request.
Despite the loss of his father last year, an old friend of Pursehouse said he was excited when she saw him for the first time in about five years at a pornography industry prize party last month, run by industry magazine XBIZ and hosted by porn legend and alleged mistress of Donald Trump, Stormy Daniels.
Alana Evans, 43, president of Adult Performers Actors Guild, said she had known Pursehouse for years and had met him when he worked as a photographer in the porn industry, but that he disappeared from the field about five years ago without explanation.
‘I have known Gareth for a long time, when he was more involved in the industry in the mid-2000s. He was a photographer who was just in the company and at shows. He was super hyper, very friendly, a very big man, “Evans told DailyMail.com.
“When I saw him on XBIZ, I hadn’t seen his face for years, I got up and talked to him. I caught his attention and he gave me a big hug. “
The guild president said her suspicions were raised when her old friend had a cage about his absence in the porn industry.
“I asked where he had been and he was so vague with his answer. He said he left the industry, but now he was back. He gave no more reason than that, “she said.
“He mentioned no problems with an ex or something. It was as if he didn’t want to answer why he had been absent from the scene. It now sounds like it is because he had this street ban. “
A close friend of Harwick told DailyMail.com that the therapist, who was engaged to host and actor Drew Carey of The Price Is Right until 2018, was also present on January 16 because of her charity work that provides women with mental health care in the sex industry.
A close friend of Harwick told DailyMail.com that the therapist, who was engaged to host and actor Drew Carey of The Price Is Right until 2018, was also present on January 16, because of her work for a charity that provides women with mental health care in the sex industry. Harwick and Carey divorced them in November 2018 after dating more than a year
Harwick was found unconscious after falling into her home from a third-floor balcony
The friend, 45-year-old actress Jasmin St Clare, claimed that Harwick’s restrictive injunction against Pursehouse had recently expired and that the therapist told her days after the party that when Pursehouse saw her there, he started yelling at her.
“She had never mentioned him before,” said St. Clare. “He wasn’t like a Drew Carey where she would call him, or one of her other exes who were more important.
“The first thing I heard from him was that a psycho ex of her started yelling at her at the XBiz awards.
“I spoke to her a few days later. She was just like ” yes, I saw my crazy ex there ”, it was just an over-the-head thing. She doesn’t see the bad in people. But was she worried? Yes.’
Even Evans said she heard the supposed altercation from another room at the party.
“There was a fight. Someone shouted to their other half, that was what people saw from the argument. You could hear loud voices. But I am not going to walk to a problem, “she said.
A month later, Harwick was with her roommate in Hollywood Hills when, according to police, Pursehouse attacked her in a violent battle that ended with the falling of three stories from a balcony. She later died in the hospital from her injuries.
The LA coroner judged on Tuesday that the 38-year-old former Playboy model died of blunt head and trunk injuries, although they also noticed “evidence of manual strangulation.”
Pursehouse said he was cheerful when she saw him for the first time in about five years at a pornography industry awards ceremony on January 16, run by industry magazine XBIZ and organized by porn legend and the alleged mistress of Donald Trump, Stormy Daniels. The run-in would have revived Pursehouse’s obsession with Harwick (pictured at the event)

Police say the Harwick roommate jumped against a wall to look for help, while a fierce battle raged in the hilltop house.
Pursehouse was arrested Monday at his home in Playa Del Rey, released on a $ 2 million bail, but was arrested again Wednesday and formally charged with murder and burglary.
According to the prosecutor’s office, his indictment includes the special circumstance that he is lurking, making him eligible for the death penalty.
The furious St. Clare, who appeared on HBO show The Deuce, said she believes Pursehouse is responsible for killing her boyfriend and that the death penalty is too good for him.
“He’s a monster. He must feel the steel, stay in jail and not come out. I say that prison life is between people who know what the hell is best for you, “she said.
‘Having to look over your shoulder every day and night, living that torture is the best punishment ever. The needle is too easy for him. “
St. Clare and her friends have launched a petition proposing a new “Amie law,” which would weaken restrictive court orders to prevent domestic violence.
The proposed law would abolish the expiry dates of restrictive orders and only remove protection if the victim feels safe.
Medical cannabis grower Travis Nestor who worked with Pursehouse (photo) for two years and knows him for about 15 years, said his friend was “normal” and “easy going” and had never shown any signs of violence
The LA coronary ruled on Tuesday that the 38-year-old former Playboy model died of blunt head and trunk injuries, although they also noticed “evidence of manual strangulation”
The campaigners are also proposing a public register of people who are banned from them, similar to data files of sex offenders, and are trying to remove the requirement that men or women seeking bans should appear against the alleged perpetrator.
“You could do it through a video conference and you just have to go to court, you don’t have to see that person’s face because it’s terrifying,” explained St. Clare.
“It must be passed on and it must be passed on immediately, because there are a million other Amies we don’t know, because the police don’t take it seriously.
“If you are a victim of such behavior, you feel scared and you don’t know if you should pack your life and go somewhere else.”
Despite the actress’s damn claims against Pursehouse, the computer programmer’s friends were shocked to hear that he had been accused of violence.
Medical cannabis grower Travis Nestor, 41, who has worked at Pursehouse for two years and knows him for about 15 years, said his friend was “normal” and “easy going” and had never shown any signs of violence.
Nestor added that in one of their most recent conversations last year, the 41-year-old had bragged about dating an 18-year-old woman.
Evans said that although Pursehouse “has a lot of energy” and “is always excited when he talks,” he was “one of those people you never expected.”
