Father, 25, pleads guilty to the murder of five family members

A father who butchered his three children, his wife and mother-in-law have pleaded guilty for their murders today.

Anthony Robert Harvey, 24, used several weapons last year, including knives and a blunt instrument to slaughter his family members at his home in Bedford, Perth.

He killed three-year-old Charlotte, two-year-old twins Alice and Beatrix, and their mother Mara Lee Harvey, 41, on September 3.

He then killed 73-year-old Beverley Ann Quinn when she came to visit the next morning.

Harvey pleaded guilty to the murders when he appeared on video via a video link from prison in the Magistrates Court of Stirling Gardens.

On June 21, he will be attending a penalty judgment at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
