An urgent health alert has been issued as three people were hospitalized when a serious bacterial illness was discovered on a university campus.

Two men in their 60s and a woman in her 70s were diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease after separately visiting locations around Victoria Park in Camperdown, including the University of Sydney campus.

NSW Health issued the alert on Friday urging anyone who has visited those areas in the last 10 days to monitor for symptoms including fever, chills, cough and difficulty breathing.
