The first trailer for the Fatal Attraction reboot was released Monday showing Lizzy Caplan and Joshua Jackson in a relationship that turned deadly.
Kaplan, 40, plays Alex Forrest — a role made famous by Glenn Close in the 1987 classic — Jackson, 44, fully portrays Michael Douglas’ character Daniel Gallagher.
The cooler part of the minute-and-a-half clip came when Alex is on the phone and says, “I’m not going to be ignored, Dan.”
The clip opens with a shaggy, bearded Dan wearing a blue prison uniform as he sits during court proceedings.
Turns out he was charged with second degree murder of Kaplan’s character but maintained his innocence.

He judges, he says: “Every day I’ve been here, I’ve been talking about Alexander Forrest because I need to understand what she did, how she died, and why.”
Dan – who is married to a woman named Beth (Amanda Peet) – is shown beginning an affair with Alex as their flirtation in a bar turns into a heated and heavy romance.
She tries to force him to stay but the family man replies, “I didn’t think that was what we were doing.”
Then things take a spooky turn as Alex shows up at his job and even winks before finding her at his house and meeting his wife, Beth.
Things eventually got so bad that Dan eventually had to admit his affair to Beth as he told her: “I gotta tell you something about her.” I choose to lose control.
His wife was crushed by the news, telling him, “It’s probably for us.”
It cuts to several dramatic scenes including Dan and Beth’s daughter nearly drowning and Alex having trouble lifting a bell.
It ends dramatically with Dan declaring: “I didn’t kill that woman and I’m going to prove it.”

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in June, Joshua claimed that the new series will be “the most emotionally intense version of the story” it has been updated to date.
That allows us to update some of the film’s sexual politics, and because we have eight hours to tell the story, it also allows us to dig deeper into that character of Glenn Close and… give a much richer sense of how that woman came to be (who she is), why she did the things she did, he explained.
This movie is basically every man’s worst nightmare, and our show is a nightmare. It’s a nightmare for men.
