Fast X was a success at the US box office over the weekend with revenues of $67.5 million, placing it as the seventh best opening weekend in The Fast and the Furious franchise.
As reported by Comscore, Box Office Mojo Fast X achieved much better revenue at the global box office outside of America, which amounted to $ 251.38 million, making it the best international opening of the year, beating both Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. franchises. Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But with the US and international revenues combined, Fast X’s global revenue is $318.88 million, making it just behind Super Mario Bros. Ultimate. Movie, which had a worldwide opening of $368 million, making it the winner for 2023 so far.
In terms of its opening in North America, Fast X could not outperform the openings of the F9 films: The Fast Saga (with $70 million), Fast & Furious (with $70 million), Fast Five (with $86 million), and Fast & Furious 6 ($97 million), The Fate of the Furious ($98 million), or Furious 7 ($147 million).

As for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 finished second in its third week in cinemas, taking in an additional $31.98 million in America alone. Currently, returns for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in North America, $266.52 million, and $659.1 million worldwide.
On the other hand, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which is now available digitally, ranked third in its seventh week in cinemas with $9.8 million in America. The revenues of The Super Mario Bros. Ultimate thus jumped. Movie to $549.29 million in North America and $1.24 billion worldwide.
And in fourth place was “Book Club: The Next Chapter” with $3 million, and “Evil Dead Rise” in fifth place with $2.37 million.
