Former Farmer Wants a Wife stars Rob Hodges and Joanna Fincham made a surprise return to the popular Channel Seven show on Wednesday night.

The pair – who are a fan favorite – first fell in love with the show 13 years ago, after appearing in season two in 2008.

The couple is now happily married and sharing three children, and gave some advice to their friend farmer Will, 39, during the finale.

The pair apparently nominated Will to appear on the show this season.

“You just have to dive in,” Jo Will told of his decision to pick a winner.

Referring to her husband Rob, she added: “You… [Rob] always said it was a good experience and if you meet someone at the end that’s a nice bonus.’

Will also joked that the couple wants him to find love on the show and want a wedding.

“I think I want Rob and Jo to marry a Farmer, so I’ll have to see what I can do for them,” he said with a laugh.

After the performance, Pilates instructor Jo said she was “so honored” to be on the show.

Fans also loved that the pair returned to the series, writing on Instagram: “Rob and Jo. The very best of the best!’

Another said: ‘Love, love Rob and Jo, I was so happy to see them and their lovely family missed the old series.’

A fan also commented on how good Jo looks and how she hasn’t aged a day since she appeared on the show.

In July 2019 Jo spoke with Mamamia about her life and raising her family on Rob’s South Australian cattle ranch.

‘It really makes me happy, going out and helping on the farm. I think it’s great,” she said during the extended interview.

However, life on a farm also has a downside: Jo admits in the publication that she and Rob found natural disasters such as drought very stressful.

In 2008, Jo gave up her job as a Melbourne newspaper photographer to rebuild her life in Rob’s countryside.
