Farmer Wants A Wife makes a dramatic start when as many as TWENTY participants are dumped relentlessly in the season debut

Twenty participants in Farmer Wants A Wife were heartbroken after getting the shoe at the season premiere of the show on Sunday evening.

Channel Seven’s dating series – hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski – got off to a dramatic start when the five handsome farmers were forced to cut their field of eight gorgeous ladies in half.

Despite the difficult choice, sheep and rancher Alex, 29, seemed content with his latest picks, including a woman who saved herself for marriage – while Nick, 44, is ready for a wild ride with a lively and outspoken cowgirl.

After fun, laughter, and getting to know their eight ladies, the curves took a nail when the farmers made the difficult decision of choosing just four to return to their hometown.

The first was farmer Alex, who chose teacher Henrietta, Brittany disability consultant, Jessica broker, and environmental consultant Sarah.

Alex’s romance with Sarah will be one in the next few episodes after telling the other girls that she was waiting for marriage to have sex – and not disclosing the information to the farmer during their first meeting.

Then it was farmer Nick’s turn, and he chose Naomi because of their ‘chemistry’ and Marnie for ‘making an effort’.

Marriage partner Liz and hairdresser Emma completed his top four.
