Alice Evans attending court

Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd’s bitter war with ex-wife Alice Evans has taken a bizarre turn when she accused him of ‘fraternizing’ with a female lawyer during a recent Los Angeles court appearance.

It all started when Evans, 56, was temporarily removed from the courtroom on Sept. 9 for taking photographs inside, apparently of Gruffudd, which is strictly against court rules and could have landed her with a charge of disrespect.

But Evans insists in new court documents found by DailyMail.com that he wasn’t taking photos of his 50-year-old ex, but of a lawyer in court named Andrea Burkhart.

Evans claims that Burkhart “has been fraternizing” with Gruffudd, “has said horrible things about me” and “refers to me as ‘Malice’ instead of ‘Alice’ in his Twitter posts.”

“I turned around and saw her (Burkhart) and Gruffudd talking, smiling and laughing,” he said. “This was very concerning to me because it appears that Gruffudd is assisting Ms. Burkhart in making disparaging statements about me on her social media.”

Evans claims that Burkhart “has been fraternizing” with Gruffudd, “has said horrible things about me” and “refers to me as ‘Malice’ instead of ‘Alice’ in his Twitter posts.”

In her new court filing, Evans includes a photo of Burkhart outside the Los Angeles courthouse and lists several online posts by Burkhart that criticize her and support Gruffudd’s claim that Evans’ claims about being penniless and not being able to support her two young daughters are false.

“Alice is simply lying about her financial situation,” Burkhart wrote in an August 2024 post.

“Malice’s own financial disclosures have been, shall we say, opaque,” he wrote in a post in July of this year.

Burkhart’s follow-up to the messy Gruffudd/Evans split has evidently been going on for a while, since posting in April 2023: “She (Alice) has been found to have committed domestic abuse.”

Andrea Burkhart says that

Andrea Burkhart says she “offers commentary and analysis of high-profile cases based on my nearly two decades of experience as a defense attorney.”

Still, it’s unclear what their interest or involvement in this celebrity breakup is about, other than a YouTube post that says, “I provide commentary and analysis of high-profile cases based on my nearly two decades of experience as defense attorney…”

In his new filing, Evans vehemently denies Gruffudd’s claim last week that he has recently been violating a court restraining order and “disturbing her peace” with continued “harassing and abusive” social media posts about him and his fiancée. Bianca Wallace.

“I have not violated any court order,” Evans says.

She admits she posted “mean” messages about Gruffudd and Wallace throughout 2021 and 2022 because “I was acting out of emotion after the sudden end of our marriage.”

But she dismisses his social media posts from last week (which Gruffudd called “disparaging”) as just “general comments about my life, the dissolution proceedings and the court proceedings in general.”

“They had no intention of disturbing the peace of Gruffudd.”

He adds: ‘Gruffudd’s complaints show me that he would like to silence me and does not want me to comment on my life experience.

“Also, Gruffudd followers often comment with rants and are rude to me on social media.”

In his new legal filings, Evans takes issue with Gruffudd’s claim that his recent request to a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to issue a protective order regarding his court-ordered deposition is a tactic to delay the case.

“I’m happy to enter my plea; I’m not trying to avoid my plea,” he says, adding that he is seeking a protective order “to ensure that any plea addresses only the remaining issues in this case and does not improperly invade my privacy…. ‘

Judge Stinn is scheduled to rule at an Oct. 8 hearing on Evans’ request for a protective order.

Gruffudd and Evans formally divorced in July last year. But they are still fighting fiercely for spousal support, custody and financial support for their two daughters, Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11.

At the Sept. 9 court hearing, Judge Josh Freeman Stinn signed a stipulated agreement in which Gruffudd pays $3,000 a month in temporary child support and $1,500 a month in temporary spousal support until another hearing on Feb. 13, where he will be forged a more permanent support agreement.

Gruffudd plans to call Wallace as a witness at the February hearing to testify that Evans ‘harassed, harassed and abused’ her, repeatedly violating a three-year domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) she and Gruffudd took out in August 2022, after enduring a ‘smear campaign’ of hateful text messages, emails and social media posts on his part.

Evans will find out next Tuesday whether a judge will grant him a protective order that will limit the questions he will have to answer in his case.

Gruffudd is expected to call his fiancée Bianca Wallace to testify in court against Evans, who they claim

Gruffudd is expected to call his fiancée Bianca Wallace to testify in court against Evans, who they claim “stalked, harassed and abused” her in violation of a restraining order.

Gruffudd claims Evans “engaged in a pattern of harmful and defamatory conduct against me, intended to intimidate and harass me and my fiancée, Bianca Wallace, while alienating our two young children from me.”

Gruffudd, whose latest film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, has grossed more than $403 million worldwide, has fought Evans’ demands for more money, alleging that he has paid about $400,000 more in spousal support than he did. that he needed according to his prenuptial agreement.

In previous court papers, she called her claims of poverty “exaggerated” and said it is a “false narrative” that she and her children have been left destitute.

The former couple met on the set of the movie 102 Dalmatians more than 20 years ago. They fell in love in real life and married in Mexico in 2007.

Gruffudd filed for divorce in March 2021, shortly after Evans announced on social media that her husband of 14 years was abandoning her and their two daughters.
