Robert Irwin and G Flip have joined forces for the latest Twisties campaign, but not everyone is happy about it.
The wildlife conservationist, 20, and the Australian musician, 30, star in a new ad that lets snack fans vote for their favorite Twisties flavor: chicken or cheese.
In the embarrassing clip, Robert advocates for the chicken flavor, while G Flip goes for cheese.
‘To all my chookstituants! I say chicken is the people’s Twistie!’ Robert says from a podium.
‘Cheese has carried chicken on its delicious shoulders for too long! No more lies,” adds G Flip.

But the cheerful clip sparked backlash in the comments of the post that was shared on Robert’s Instagram page.
Several fans have turned against the star for remaining silent on global issues, particularly the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza.
‘Children are starving in Gaza, Congo and Sudan, and this is what you are doing as someone with a platform in this world? What a shame,” wrote one user.
Meanwhile, another said they were surprised Robert wasn’t vegan considering he’s a wildlife conservationist.
“Honestly, I’m surprised you’re not vegan, or at least vegetarian @robertirwinphotography, someone who loves and cares about animals like you should also care about animals in the meat industry,” they said.
Others, mainly non-Australians, were simply confused by the campaign.
“I, as an American, see this as: what,” one fan commented.
‘What did I just watch!’ added another. “I’m on the cheese team, sorry, Robert.”
But the cheerful clip has sparked backlash in the comments of the post that was shared on Robert’s Instagram page.
‘Ohhh my god…what the HELL Cry-key hell is this?!?! “I can’t ever see him again,” someone else wrote, while another said: “He’s a Twistie.”
However, many loved the campaign and praised Robert’s performance.
“Robert for Prime Minister,” said one, while another gushed: “This is hilarious.”
“It seemed like a lot of fun to be a part of,” one more added.
It comes after fans came to Robert’s defense after detractors complained that he and his mother Terri, 59, are frequently seen together.
‘Are Robert and his mother joined at the hip? She’s in every photo you see of him,” one person wrote in the comments while another said, “He’s 20 now!”
However, there was plenty of support for their close relationship, with one person responding: “He’s a lucky young man to have her.”
Another wrote: ‘People say why does Robert have his mother in so many photos. Remember that every day is precious. Life is fragile. The Irwins, like millions of other families, have experienced loss on a monumental scale.
‘Steve was larger than life. He’s lovely that they spend so much time together. Don’t be so critical.’
One more said: ‘What’s wrong with someone having a close relationship with their mother?’
‘Who cares? She is his mother and they seem to be a very close-knit family,” said another.
The couple did nothing to dispel rumors about their closeness when they stepped out together in Oregon earlier this week.
The mother and son were in the region visiting relatives and seemed in high spirits as they walked together.
An I’m A Celebrity producer has expressed concern over presenter Robert’s decision to bring his protective mother Terri onto set.
Terri accompanied her son on his trip to South Africa as he filmed his debut season of the popular Channel 10 show alongside co-presenter Julia Morris, 55.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, an anonymous producer admitted that Terri’s presence on set every day is “a little creepy”, saying: “It gives that ‘bringing your mum to school camp’ feeling.”
Robert Irwin (left) and his mother Terri Irwin (center) are known to be very close. On Monday, the mother-son duo posed together in several images shared on Instagram during their trips abroad in May.
Terri, who has been in charge of Robert and his older sister Bindi’s showbiz careers since their father Steve’s death in 2006, has apparently closely followed everything Robert does while working on the show.
“The two have a great relationship and Terri couldn’t be nicer, but there aren’t many situations where employees have their mom at work with them, just to make sure everything is in order,” the source said.
Comparing Terri to the Kardashians’ famous ‘mom’ Kris Jenner, the producer claimed that Robert Irwin’s contract even included a section allowing him to bring his family to the set.
‘The deal was sealed when Robert signed on as host late last year. “I wanted his family to come with him,” they alleged, adding, “Maybe it’s just for this series, but maybe Terri is always behind the scenes.” Who knows’.
Some detractors complained that they are often seen together.
