Fans have taken to social media to criticize the Chelsea striker after his failed move against Brentford.

Jackson has faced a lot of criticism for his performances since his £32million move from Villarreal last summer.

The Senegal international has scored seven goals so far in his debut Premier League season, but could have scored more if he had been clinical.

During Saturday’s west London clash against Brentford, Jackson attempted a step dribble but failed miserably as he tripped over his own foot.

Fans on social media have criticized him, with some urging the Blues to “try another sport”.

One fan wrote on X: “Jackson you might as well try another sport bro lmao,” with crying emojis.

Another said, “Jackson is a legit comedian,” while another reflected that opinion by saying, “Nicolas Jackson is a clown.”

One Manchester United fan added: “Chelsea fans really compared Nicholas Jackson to Drogba at the start of the season… Jesus Christ.”

Jackson then missed a great chance minutes later, failing to find the back of the net after rounding Bees goalkeeper Mark Flekken before his attempt was cleared off the line.

In a dizzying first half, Jackson ended up giving Chelsea the lead moments later with a brilliant header from a Marlo Gusto cross 10 minutes before the break.

The 22-year-old let out his relief as he celebrated by hushing the crowd.
