Fans took to social media to slam Rebel Wilson after the actress scored a free stay in a life-size Polly Pocket Airbnb.

The Australian actress, 44, travelled to the US with her fiancée Ramona Agruma, 40, and their daughter Royce, 22 months, to preview Airbnb’s “Icon experience”, which offers guests the chance to book a one-night stay in a life-size version of the iconic toy’s compact dollhouse in Massachusetts.

On Friday, Rebel posted a series of photos from the stay on Instagram as she gushed about the unique experience.

“Yesterday I took the family to Boston for an epic experience with @airbnb Icon,” the Pitch Perfect star wrote.

‘The team has EXACTLY recreated the classic Polly Pocket compact and it was the cutest thing you could imagine!

“Thank you @airbnb for gifting us this amazing trip and @bchesky for inviting us. I feel so lucky that us girls were able to do this,” she added, tagging Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky.

Rebel fans were less than impressed with her tour and many took to the comments to criticise the actress, who boasts an impressive property portfolio.

“It’s crazy how people who can afford clothes, makeup, jewelry, vacations, etc. always get these things for free to advertise to the millions of poor people who can’t afford it and let it negatively affect them because of it,” one fan chided.

“It’s quite the opposite.”

Another added a similar sentiment: “Why do millionaires get free trips?”

One fan chimed in, claiming that exclusive experiences like this were reserved only for the rich and connected.

“I’m so glad celebrities can get this, but us regular people can’t even get in touch to book it,” they said.

The criticism didn’t end there, as another fan claimed it was “bad image” to give away free accommodation to celebrities.

“I love that @airbnb is funding a trip for a rich person and charging regular people. It’s a bad image,” they said.

Others, however, were quick to point out that deals like this were the stuff of public relations and marketing.

“Because they post on their social media and millions of poor people can watch it and then pay for the experience. The promotion works, unfortunately,” commented one fan.

The property is based on the Slumber Party Fun compact, one of the original Polly Pocket playsets that debuted in 1989.

Rebel's fans weren't all that impressed with her performance, with many criticising the actress in the comments. Rebel is pictured with her 22-month-old daughter Royce.

The new Airbnb listing, registered to Polly herself, invites guests to get ready at her vanity, which is stocked with nostalgic hair and nail accessories.

90s kids are the kings of sleepovers, but you already knew that. So I wanted this sleepover to feel like you were still in the 90s! the ad says.

‘Just imagine it: crafts, vintage snacks, Polaroid cameras… It’s going to be AMAZING. Basically, I turned my Slumber Party Fun case into a time machine where your imagination can run wild. Because there’s no greater adventure than the one you create for yourself.’

The 12-metre-tall house features two floors filled with colourful plastic furniture and, naturally, some of Polly Pocket’s iconic rubber clothes.

It sleeps four guests, not in the compact itself, but in an Action Park tent (also based on an old game) near the life-size playground.

The exclusive Airbnb deal is only open for overnight stays from September 12-14 and costs $89 (£70) per person.

In 2023, Airbnb hosted Rebel, Ramona and Royce in a stunning Bondi Beach penthouse while the Hollywood actress filmed her directorial debut in Australia.

“Directing a film is really hard but it’s made easier when Airbnb connects me with this amazing penthouse in Bondi Beach, Sydney,” the Bridesmaids star wrote in the caption of her promotional post at the time.
