College football fans are reacting with horror after an assistant coach lost his mind on a player and confronted him after making some kind of mistake.

During a game between Marshall and Louisiana-Monroe (ULM), a ULM assistant coach was seen running down the sideline and yelling.

In a clip posted to field.

A coach wearing sunglasses, who appeared to be ULM head coach Bryan Vincent, appeared to tell Blankenship to calm down.

But Blankenship couldn’t control his anger, as he was seen jumping before removing his training headphones and yelling at offensive lineman Drew Hutchinson.

As Hutchinson ran off the bench, Blankenship was seen running after his player.

After leaving the field, Blankenship continued running after Hutchinson, shoving the player and punching his chest while yelling in the lineman’s face.

DailyMail.com has contacted ULM for comment.

Fans were outraged by Blankenship’s behavior and later posted their disdain towards X.

‘That’s a grown man losing his mind because a college student made a mistake. A coach should never physically chase a player like that. Yuck!’ one user wrote on the social media platform.

Another wrote: ‘Unacceptable.’ Suspend that coach.

“That’s one way to make your team no longer respect you,” another user wrote.

‘He should be fired. It is not acceptable. He’s lucky the player didn’t eliminate him. “This coach is a little guy,” another post reads.

Blankenship was then seen approaching the player's face after pushing him with both hands.

Louisiana-Monroe ended up losing the road game to Marshall 28-23 to fall to 5-3 on the season and 3-2 in the Sun Belt Conference.

ULM running back Ahmad Hardy rushed for 207 yards and a touchdown, while neither team’s passing attack was particularly potent.

They will hope to bounce back next week when they face Texas State.
