Fans of the ’90s thriller are STUNNING at the lead star’s appearance in the new version of the film, comparing him to ‘Jared Leto’s wild card’: ‘Horrible character design’

The lead actor’s physical appearance in the upcoming reboot of The Crow is not going down well with fans of the original 1994 film.

Skarsgård will take on the role of Eric Draven, replacing the late actor Brandon Lee, who died while filming a scene for the original film on March 31, 1993.

Lee’s character, Eric Draven, was a musician who, along with his fiancée, Shelly Webster, was murdered by a gang the night before their wedding.

Three more films in The Crow franchise were released in 1996, 2000, and 2005, but none of them were as successful as the first.

The 2024 film will be the first film in The Crow franchise to be a reboot, and the appearance of Skarsgård’s Joker won’t be the only thing that will differentiate the remake from the original.

The 2024 reboot was filmed in Prague and the Czech Republic from July to September 2022.

It will have a similar plot and will follow Skarsgård’s character who seeks to avenge his death and that of his fiancée.

FKA Twigs will play the role of Shelly Webster and unlike the first film, her characters will not die in the first few minutes of the film.

It’s unclear who will murder Eric and Shelly in the reboot, but the killer or killers are said to be “the demons from Shelly Webster’s past.”

Even though X users showed their hatred towards Skarsgård’s Joker’s appearance, some commenters on Instagram are still excited to see the film and have praised the actor’s character design.

Some Instagram users who commented on photos from the film wrote about how excited they were to see the film.

Others have continued to compare his appearance to Jared Leto’s The Joke, but have also compared his appearance to Machine Gun Kelly.
