‘Officially the best thing I’ve seen all week!’: Britain’s Got Talent fans in hysterics as Boycanto slaps Simon Cowell in the face with a cream pie
Viewers of Britain’s Got Talent were left in hysterics during Thursday night’s semi-final when an act punched Simon Cowell in the face.
The children’s song and dance troupe Boycanto took the stage to perform an energetic routine in which a boy slammed a cream pie into the judge’s face.
Fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli burst out laughing at the antics.
The youngster rubbed salt in the wound by beaming at presenters Ant and Dec: “It’s not every day you punch Simon Cowell in the face.”
And fans at home were similarly confused, taking to Twitter to praise the moment as “the best part of tonight’s show.”

One of them said ‘They get my 5 votes just for the cake on Simon’.
While a second quipped, “Petition for the pie to get through to the Live Finale?”
Another added, “Simon gets a pie in the face – officially the best thing I’ve seen all week!” Thanks for the huge laugh.”
A fourth repeated, “Simon getting creampied might be the best part of tonight’s show.”
A fifth praised: ‘Well Simon wanted them to be naughty and they certainly were! Now literally eat his words. Great, fun, entertaining performance.’
A sixth agreed, writing ‘Boycanto put on such a fantastic performance tonight, I loved the way they threw cream pie at Simon creating a WOW moment. Very amazing group by the way.’
And a seventh tweeted, “WE FOUND A WINNER! Yes, I condemn them solely on the basis that they did that to Simon Cowell.”

Simon responded by grabbing another pie and going after his fellow judges and then Ant and Dec.
The two hosts raced across the stage, hiding behind Boycanto as they tried to keep presenting, much to the laughter of the audience.
Simon eventually managed to get behind Ant and smashed the pie into the side of his face before he could escape.
Bruno praised the group, saying, “The madness, the chaos, the crowd, is everything I love.”
While Simon reluctantly admitted, “You’ve been very naughty. But I really liked that performance.’
He confessed that during their audition he encouraged them to be “a little bit naughtier” in the semi-finals and therefore had to take some of the blame.
Amanda later took to her Instagram Stories to share a hilarious photo of Simon covered in whipped cream.

Unfortunately for Boycanto, their hilarious performance wasn’t enough to send them through to the finals.
The two spots went to 13-year-old singer Malakai Bayoh and aerobatics couple Duo Odyssey.
They return on Sunday’s final, taking on Musa Motha, Amy Lou, Viggo Venn, Olivia Lynes, Ghetto Kids and Travis George.
Each act hopes to be the ones to win a cash prize of £250,000 and a spot in the annual Royal Variety Performance.
