Fans mocked Scotland captain Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney after they celebrated early in their eventual defeat against Germany in the Euro 2024 opener.
The Scots came into the tournament with high hopes under the guidance of Steve Clarke, but were defeated 5-1 by the tournament hosts.
Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can scored as Scotland got their campaign off to the worst possible start.
The Tartan Army had started in a celebratory mood when Tierney tackled Musiala and celebrated with Robertson just three minutes into the match.
And fans took to social media to criticize the pair, with one saying: “Can’t wait to tell the grandkids about this goal kick.”

It seemed less than 10 minutes until Scotland’s ambitions began to crumble when Wirtz put the host country ahead.
Musiala added a second minutes later, and Ryan Porteous was shown red after lunging at Ilkay Gundogan in an attempt to make a goal-saving tackle.
Havertz scored the penalty and Germany went into halftime trailing 3-0.
Things got worse for Scotland in the second half, with Fullkrug coming off the bench to score a stunning goal to make it 4-0, and thought he had added a fifth, only to have it ruled out for offside.
Antonio Rudiger’s own goal was a late consolation, but the Scots had already written themselves up and Emre Can added the fifth goal moments from the end.
