Fans have jokingly claimed that Jude Bellingham’s “Spanish gene” has been unlocked by Real Madrid’s drunken Champions League title celebrations after he gave two perfectly good interviews.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team has returned to Madrid and has been celebrating with its fans in a parade of open-top buses.
The 20-year-old was first seen giving an interview in Spanish to fans inside the Bernabeu who had come to see his team present them with the Champions League trophy.
In a video published on X (formerly Twitter) Bellingham takes the microphone and addresses the Madrid fans inside the stadium, saying ‘Hello Madridstas’.
The England star appears to lead the stadium in a chat as his teammates dance and cheer him on while standing on a pedestal in the middle of the stadium, before Bellingham appears to thank fans for their support.

He was later seen in a separate video giving another interview in Spanish following the team’s open-top bus parade. Standing on top of the bus, she gave another interview in Spanish while enjoying the celebrations around her.
In the video, Bellingham appears to give a passionate speech to the club’s fans before shouting ‘Hala Madrid’ into the microphone and hugging the interviewer.
And some have claimed that the drunken title celebrations in Madrid “have brought out his Spanish gene”, with one fan writing on X: “Few drinks have unlocked Jude’s Spanish gene.” Brother did the entire interview in Spanish hahaha.’
Others were perplexed as to how Bellingham became so good at Spanish in such a short time: ‘How did he learn so quickly…?’
‘He even has those Z pronunciations on point. This boy will be the biggest world football star of this generation!’ added another.
Reflecting on the video of Bellingham atop the team bus, several fans claimed that Bellingham was “gone.”
Bellingham was seen on video speaking to the club’s official Spanish-language television channel.
The midfielder then appeared to hug the interviewer, after giving a passionate speech.
Some joked that Bellingham seemed to have enjoyed a few drinks, while others were delighted with his Spanish speaking skills.
The 20-year-old was also seen in a video leading fans inside the Bernabeu in a chant alongside his teammates.
Inside the stadium, Bellingham attended the Real Madrid channel offering another interview in perfect Spanish
“He’s gone,” another wrote with a laughing face emoji, while a second fan echoed his sentiment, adding: “Jude Bellingham is gone!”
“No joke, his Spanish is still improving,” added another, enamored of Bellingham’s Spanish, while one said: “His Spanish accent and pronunciation is actually very good for the time he’s been there haha.”
Bellingham, who joined the club last summer in a £113m transfer, has returned an impressive 23 goals and 13 assists. He has now also helped his team to the LaLiga title, Spanish Super Cup and Champions League, with some comparing his exploits to those of Gareth Bale.
“What Bale couldn’t do in 10 seasons, Jude did in one,” added a fan on X.
The England midfielder helped his team to a 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on Saturday night and, although Bellingham put in a quiet performance by their own standards, he provided the assist that allowed Vinicius Jnr to score the second goal for his team.
Celebrations erupted on the pitch at the end of the match, with Bellingham left speechless after winning their first Champions League title in their first season at the club.
The England star was seen enjoying the scenes inside Wembley alongside his family on the pitch before giving an emotional interview to TNT Sports.

The party seemed to last well into the night, and the 20-year-old superstar was seen dancing on the team bus while posing for photos with the trophy.

It’s not the first time the English superstar has impressed fans with how quickly he appears to have picked up Spanish, and Bellingham recently wowed fans by speaking fluent Spanish during Real Madrid’s LaLiga title parade.
He raised a rallying cry ahead of the Champions League final, telling fans: “Thank you so much for your support and the love shown this season,” he said.
“We have one more important match at Wembley. We will win. Go Madrid.’
