Fans have called for Danny Welbeck to be called up to the next England squad after he continued his impressive form against Wolves.
The 33-year-old has been prolific this season, scoring five goals in Brighton’s nine Premier League games before hosting Gary O’Neil’s side, including two in the previous two against Tottenham and Newcastle.
Welbeck increased his tally for the season to six with a clinical finish that gave Brighton the lead at home against Wolves.
And fans have praised the former Manchester United and Arsenal striker, insisting his brilliant form has earned him a return to the England squad.
One published in X: ‘Danny Welbeck in England is in form. Not many would predict this type of shape.
