Matthew McConaughey shared a confrontation with former NFL star Charles Woodson

Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey shared a hilarious run-in with former NFL player Charles Woodson ahead of Texas’ clash with Michigan on Saturday.

McConaughey and Woodson met face-to-face in front of more than 100,000 fans at the Big House just minutes before the first regular-season meeting between the two college football powerhouses.

McConaughey is a huge Longhorns fan and can often be seen on the sidelines rooting for Steve Sarkisian’s team.

Meanwhile, Woodson spent three years with Michigan from 1995-97. He was then the fourth overall pick in the 1998 draft before enjoying an 18-season NFL career.

On Saturday, shortly before tipoff, McConaughey was on the field holding a burnt orange Texas flag.

Woodson, who was on FOX Sports coverage, soon stood in front of him holding a giant blue Michigan flag.

“Come on, baby, here we go… let’s do this!” Woodson shouted in McConaughey’s face.

“Don’t make me chase you,” the movie star replied. “I know you’re fast!” Woodson ran around the field, waving his flag as Michigan players emerged from the tunnel.

“I love college football,” one fan wrote on social media, while another joked that they’d put their money on McConaughey. “It was amazing to watch,” said a third.

This meeting between the No. 3 Longhorns and the No. 1 Wolverines kicked off the second week of the college football season.

It was just the second meeting between the two giants, 20 years after they first collided in the Rose Bowl following the 2004 season.
