Scandal-hit special prosecutor Nathan Wade has been accused of contempt of court by his ex-wife in a new divorce suit.
Joycelyn Wade made the allegation in court papers filed Wednesday alleging that her ex-partner had failed to pay $4,400 in medical bills.
“The defendant urgently requires medical procedures, namely an endoscopy, a colonoscopy and an ultrasound, due to the severe physical symptoms she has been suffering from,” the documents state.
“These symptoms have significantly affected his ability to consume most foods, resulting in substantial weight loss.”
She claims she can’t pay the bills herself since Wade stopped paying child support for her two children.
Nathan Wade has been at the center of a bitter divorce case, where it was revealed that he was in a relationship with Fulton County’s Da Fani Willis. The scandal rocked the county’s case against Donald Trump and Nathan was forced to resign as lead prosecutor.

Wade was appointed by Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis to handle her prosecution of Donald Trump for attempting to overturn his 2020 election loss.
Willis’s conduct came under scrutiny during a series of sensational hearings, with Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ultimately criticizing her for a “tremendous error of judgment” and for acting in an “unprofessional manner.”
However, he escaped with just a slap on the wrist, after McAfee dramatically ruled that he could remain on Trump’s election interference case if Wade dropped out.
In her filings, Jocelyn claims that Wade has violated a court-issued temporary order requiring him to pay her medical bills.
The jilted wife added that she cannot pay them due to Wade’s “sudden cessation of support” for her children, which has left her monthly income at less than $1,000 a month.
Jocelyn’s lawyers claim that her health currently prevents her from working, which is exacerbating her financial situation.
Wade informed his daughter, an aspiring medical student, that he would no longer pay her rent on Jan. 30, the day after the temporary order was issued according to the documents.
In her filings, Jocelyn claims that Wade has left her unable to pay medical bills on her own since he stopped paying child support.
Wade and Willis later had an affair, and Trump’s team claimed their prosecution of him was biased and unprofessional. Willis attends a hearing on the Georgia election interference case on March 1 in Atlanta.

Nathan also reneged on his commitment to pay for his daughter’s medical school entrance exam, according to the documents.
Jocelyn has been supporting her son who lives in Europe since his father stopped supporting him, according to court documents.
His wife’s attorneys say their client requested that Wade pay her medical expenses upfront, but he only said he would reimburse her at a later date.
However, Jocelyn states that her medical provider will not schedule any appointments without advance payment.
His attorneys are now demanding that the judge jail Wade until he pays his medical bills and associated attorney fees.
