A Louisiana grandmother and her family have won over $100,000 from America’s Home Videos thanks to a hilarious prank showing them giving her their own wrapped goods for Christmas.
The Williams family, as part of their Christmas tradition, began stealing items from their grandmother’s house by pretending to go to the bathroom to pick them up and wrap them up.
The items were quickly gift-wrapped ready to be presented to each other on Christmas Day in front of other family members.
When it came time to open the first present, Grandmother Carol Keating grew suspicious when she seemed to recognize an ornament similar to one she already owned.

“I have one like that at home!” she says. When the second present was opened, the shrewd elder began to realize that something was definitely wrong.

Family members gathered in the living room and did their best to suppress the laughter while pretending they didn’t know what was going on.
All the younger members of the family were in on it and it was all captured in the video titled ‘Gifting Granny’s Goods’.
The family then submitted the jolly Christmas prank to the ABC television program, America’s Funniest Home Videos.

“My sister and I had seen a video on Tiktok about taking things from someone’s house and handing over gifts to see her reaction and we knew Granny was perfect for the prank,” Paige Williams said. WGNO.
“They would take turns going to the bathroom, then taking random items from their house and hiding them in the bag,” Williams explained.
“We wrapped up all the presents and told Granny it was a new game we decided to play at the last minute, so we bought her a present to play with.”
The family say the whole prank was in the spirit of how their grandmother normally behaves – a fun-loving woman known for giving prank gifts.
While they may have cut corners when it came to giveaways in 2022, this year there will be no excuses after the silly prank video takes home the grand prize of 120 $000 from the family, after being voted the funniest video of the season.
