‘My son, my son!’: The family’s pain as a hairdresser is stabbed to death in his home with wife, 31, arrested

A family burst into tears in North London today after a hairdresser was stabbed to death in his house.
Police were called to a property on Stamford Hill near Stoke Newington Station shortly before 11 a.m. Friday.
Inside the house, believed to be a flat above a shop, they found a man, believed to be in his thirties, with stab wounds.
The victim, believed to be a barber working in the area, was resuscitated by officers before the ambulance arrived, but died at the scene soon after.
As news of the murder spread through the area, which is home to a large Haredi Jewish community, a crowd began to gather at the cordon while the victim’s family was seen in tears.

A man in obvious distress was heard crying, “My son. My son.’
A reporter at the scene said tensions ran high as the crowd began to form, wailing and howling was also heard from some people on the spot.
Police were forced to intervene and try to calm the situation as she grieved relatives soon left the area as police continued their investigations.
A 31-year-old woman, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene. Police are not currently looking for anyone else.
An air ambulance landed in Morrisons’ nearby parking lot, but soon took off.
A witness told MyLondon: ‘I saw a lot of police and ambulance personnel in the flat above the Mascara Bar.
“I watched for a while and no casualties were removed, but then all the paramedics started to leave. I’m guessing it’s not a good sign.
“The helicopter left without a patient.”

According to MyLondon, a passerby could be heard saying ‘not another’ on the news that the incident was a fatal stabbing. It is the fourth fatal stabbing in the capital since last Thursday.
A huge cordon remains along the busy road.
A Met Police spokesman said: ‘A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man with fatal stab wounds was found in Hackney.
‘Police were called to a property in Stamford Hill, N16 at 10:52 a.m. on Friday, June 4, following a report of a stabbing.
“Agents were there. A man, believed to be in his thirties, was found with stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene by officers performing CPR before paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London Air Ambulance arrived.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the man died a short time later at the scene.
An investigation is underway to inform his next of kin.
