Seven family members have miraculously been found alive after being stranded in the Western Australian Outback for three days.
The relatives left Kalgoorlie-Boulder in two cars between 10am and 2pm on Sunday.
The warning was raised when they failed to reach the remote Aboriginal community of Tjuntjuntjara as planned.
Seven family members have miraculously been found alive after being stranded in the Western Australian Outback for three days.
The family was discovered by a police helicopter on Wednesday afternoon.
No arrangements are being made to rescue them and supplies will be dropped to them in the meantime, Western Australian police said.
The group is from Tjuntjuntjara, 600 km northeast of where they drove from, and the police were contacted on Monday when they did not make it home.
Hundreds of millimeters of rain have fallen over the area in the past three days and the unseasonal weather conditions have affected the search.
The group was believed to have only minimal supplies, with one of the vehicles carrying water and camping equipment.
They left in two vehicles: a 1986 Toyota Landcruiser with number plates A683 and a white Mitsubishi Triton utility with plates KBC8881.
