Falkirk Rampage: Drunk mother of two, 33, avoids prison

A drunken mother of two has been videotaped falsely claiming she was raped and inflicted £ 4,000 in damage in a takeaway frenzy.

Ann Marie Fowler, 33, was spared a prison sentence and had to pay £ 400 in damages after she threw out takeout Kebabish in Falkirk, Scotland, during an outburst shortly before midnight on July 21.

Images captured as Fowler threw food, showed her breasts to shocked workers, smashed a glass cabinet and hit the owner on the head with a can for a charity fundraiser.

She also grabbed an employee by the T-shirt while he was on the phone with the police, yelling ‘you raped me, you raped me’ as she pulled down her top and bra to expose her breasts.

Fowler – who was on her way back from a visit to her son in the hospital – confessed to racial violence and a string of other crimes when she appeared at the Falkirk Sheriff Court.

Her lawyer said benefit recipient Fowler would have trouble paying the damages handed over.

She was also spared a jail term – much to the dismay of owner Zohaib Arshad, who described the £ 400 indemnity order as ‘an injustice’.

Owner Zohaib Arshad, 33, said, “People say” maybe she’s laughing in the pub at what she’s done and what she’s got. “

‘These people get money from our taxes and we are the victims. In the Muslim community, the allegation of rape is a huge thing.

‘We never knew that woman, we had nothing to do with that lady. She takes off her clothes and accuses me of rape – that video saved me.

‘If we didn’t have that video they might have arrested me, if I had been accused of rape I might have been taken for questioning.

‘Some people take their lives because of charges like that. Being racist is a crime. She accused us of rape and of vandalism and racism.

‘Everything went into the trash. The fee should be higher and she should be imprisoned. ‘

The insurance did not cover the damage and the broken glass case had to be replaced by a perspex one.

Father of two Zohaib said: ‘The damage was £ 4,000 and we had to pay to get rid of the old one.

“People in our community say white supremacy is the judge’s. She called us “black b ****** s” so often, they ignored it. ‘

During her rant, Fowler grabbed a staff member’s shirt and appeared to spit at the workers.

Tax representative Rachel Wallace said, “She got aggressive and asked for the food. She went to get it and immediately threw the entire container into the air.

‘The suspect then hit the electronic cash register system, causing it to break down. She kept shouting, “Where’s my food?”

A staff member handed over the original food box that Fowler threw into the air again before falsely claiming that the staff raped her.

Ms. Wallace added: “The accused then picked up a charity fundraiser can and hit the witness on the head.

This left him with a small lump in his head that did not require medical attention.

The accused then began to take off items from her outerwear while shouting again, “You raped me.”

A witness contacted the police. The suspect started pulling on the glass display case and managed to pull another glass case off the unit. ‘

Police arrived a short time later and found two bank cards that Fowler had dropped as she fled the scene.

Fowler pleaded guilty to yelling, swearing, making offensive remarks, and deliberately destroying another’s property by hitting a cash register, throwing food items, and pulling a glass display case of food items from the stand, causing it to fall to the floor and broke down, at Falkirk Sheriff Court.

Fowler, from Kelty, also admitted that he violated a court-ordered curfew order to stay home from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am daily by going to the store and attacking a man in a racist way.

Attorney Allana Turley said her client went to a pub on July 21 after a hospital visit to see her son who had broken his back. She also said that Fowler had shown “genuine remorse and regret.”

The attorney told Sheriff Keith O’Mahony that her client was on benefits and would struggle to pay a hefty fee, suggesting that Fowler would instead benefit from alcohol abuse supervision and counseling.

Sheriff O’Mahoney told Fowler that she was on the ‘borderline’ of a custodial sentence and, as a direct alternative to jail time, placed her under surveillance for two years, during which time she had to follow alcohol advice and pay £ 400 in compensation.
