Faith Evans is seriously considering taking legal action against Kim Porter’s posthumous memoir after it sensationally implied she played a role in the death of her late husband Biggie Smalls – allegations which sources close to her say she vehemently denies.

The scandalous 60-page book titled Kim’s Lost Words, published earlier this month, is purportedly a collection of diaries from Sean “Diddy” Combs’ late wife, and includes damning allegations implicating “I’ll Be Missing You” singer Evans in Biggie’s murder.

Biggie, whose real name was Christopher “The Notorious BIG” Wallace, was shot and killed at age 24 in the early hours of March 9, 1997, in Los Angeles. The case remains unsolved.

While there have been endless conspiracy theories about Biggie’s murder and the events that led to it, Porter’s book claims that Diddy, 54, initially orchestrated Evans’ relationship with the late star so he could “monitor” him.

He also alleges that Evans, 51, always suspected Disgraced music mogul Diddy had something to do with the rapper’s death.

A source close to the story told DailyMail.com that she is “mortified” and “absolutely disgusted” by the wild claims and denies “everything the book says about her”.

They said: ‘Faith Evans is considering taking legal action against the author of Kim Porter’s book.

“The book claims that Diddy used her to spy on Biggie Smalls and that she always suspected Diddy was behind his murder. Faith is horrified by the story because it actually uses her name.”

Evans was married to Biggie until his murder. The couple had one son together, Christopher Wallace Jr., CJ.

Following the publication of the damning book, the source claimed Evans had to reassure her 27-year-old son that she had absolutely no role in “harming” his father.

The source added: ‘Faith had no idea what the book claimed until she received calls about it and was mortified that anyone would insinuate she played a role in harming Biggie.

‘Her son, CJ Wallace, is absolutely disgusted and confused by what the book says. She has had to reassure him that it is a lie.

‘Faith categorically denies everything the book says about her and is seriously prepared to take legal action.’

Porter's alleged memoir claims Diddy, 54, ordered Evans, 51, to date Biggie so he could

Porter’s purported memoir claims Diddy, 54, ordered Evans, 51, to date Biggie so he could “keep an eye on him.”

Porter and Diddy were in an on-and-off relationship from 1994 to 2007.

There have been many conspiracy theories surrounding the circumstances of his death, which have only been amplified since Diddy was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking earlier this month.

Porter’s purported memoir describes Diddy’s colorful love life from the 1990s through his senior year, including alleged affairs with top-tier male and female musicians and rappers and wild orgies at his home, in which she also participated.

The book was published by Chris Todd, under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood.

One chapter recalls an alleged conversation about Biggie between Evans and Diddy at the office of his record label Bad Boy.

He says: ‘Faith had tears in her eyes as she replied, ‘He didn’t have to die.’ This is getting very sensitive. Did he know? Did he suspect?’

“Was she trying to find out if Sean had intentionally killed Biggie? She wanted to ask, but of course there was no way to do that. This is crazy.”

‘Sean sighed and said no. “Don’t get me wrong, I miss him, but he was going to leave me anyway. No one cares about my pain.”

“Classic narcissist Sean, everything revolves around him. I felt sick for a moment…”

Another says: ‘Sean just told Faith he wouldn’t protect her husband except because she was leaving Bad Boy.

‘From a business perspective, I don’t disagree with Sean on that. If you leave and create competition for him, why would he spend resources on you?

“So I hugged Sean, but I also knew that he didn’t have to send Chris to California. I wondered if he realized that he had sentenced him to death.”

Since his release, Todd has been questioned about authenticating the allegations.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, he said: “If someone were to hold my feet to the fire and say, ‘Is that book real, life or death?’ I have to say I don’t know. But for me it’s real enough.”

‘Sometimes you have to say it outright. Maybe not 100 percent of the book is true, but maybe 80 percent is.

“That’s to get those people to come forward and corroborate or deny (the claims), and that helps me as an investigator to find out the truth.”

The book was published just weeks before Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking charges, to which he pleaded not guilty.

In an indictment, authorities said the rap mogul had abused, threatened and coerced women “to satisfy his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct,” with allegations dating back to 2008.

Diddy twice attempted to obtain bail after his arrest, but was ordered to remain in custody at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.

If convicted, he faces at least 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Earlier this week, Diddy and Porter’s children broke their silence in a desperate plea to stop conspiracy theories surrounding their mother’s death.

Three of the controversial rapper’s children — Christian, 26, twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17, and Porter’s eldest son Quincy, 33 — posted a joint statement on Instagram.

Their statement read: ‘WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY FALSE AND HARMFUL RUMORS CIRCULATING ABOUT OUR PARENTS, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KIM PORTER AND SEAN COMBS, AS WELL AS THE TRAGIC PASSING OF OUR MOTHER, THAT WE FEEL THE NEED TO SPEAK OUT.’

The statement took aim at the book as Porter’s four children continued: ‘THE CLAIMS THAT OUR MOTHER WROTE A BOOK ARE SIMPLY FALSE. SHE DID NOT, AND ANYONE CLAIMING TO HAVE A MANUSCRIPT IS MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES. ALSO, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ANY SO-CALLED ‘FRIEND’ SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MOTHER OR HER FAMILY IS NOT A FRIEND. NOR DOES THEY HAVE HER BEST INTERESTS AT HEART.’

‘Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world and nothing has been the same since she passed away.’

The statement from Porter’s four children continued: ‘WHILE IT HAS BEEN INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO RECONCILE HOW SHE COULD BE TAKEN FROM US SO SOON, THE CAUSE OF HER DEATH HAS LONG AGO BEEN ESTABLISHED. THERE WAS NO FOUL PLAY. GRIEVING IS A LIFELONG PROCESS. AND WE ASK THAT EVERYONE RESPECTS OUR ASK FOR PEACE AS WE CONTINUE TO DEAL WITH HER LOSS EVERY DAY.’

‘WE ARE DEEPLY SAD THAT THE WORLD HAS MADE A SHOW OF WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST TRAGIC EVENT OF OUR LIVES. OUR MOTHER SHOULD BE REMEMBERED FOR HOW BEAUTIFUL. HOW STRONG. HOW KIND.

“AND SHE WAS A LOVING WOMAN. HER MEMORY SHOULD NOT BE STAINED BY HORRIBLE CONSPIRACY THEORIES.”

The four children ended their strong statement by asking for respect for their mother’s death, adding: “WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU MOM.”
