- Tayla Brailey, 30, allegedly sexually abused a student
- The physical education teacher has been charged with new crimes
A married physical education teacher who allegedly sexually abused a student has been charged with six new counts involving another teenager.
Tayla Brailey, 30, was arrested last week after allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old boy she taught at Lurnea High School in Sydney’s southwest several times in July.
He was charged with three counts: sexual contact, sexual intercourse with a person under his care and aggravated sexual assault.
Now, police have charged Brailey with further alleged crimes in connection with a second student, including having sex with a teenager in his care and sexually touching a teenager in his care.
The new charges also include inciting a teenager in her care to touch her sexually and soliciting, accessing and possessing or controlling child abuse material.

Brailey’s new case was heard in Wollongong Local Court on Friday, where police initially refused him bail before the magistrate granted it again.
The same strict bail conditions imposed last week remain in effect, requiring Brailey to reside with her parents and only leave the house if accompanied by one of them.
Under these conditions, she is also required to observe a nightly curfew, surrender her passport and report to the police three times a week.
He is also prohibited from accessing social media, entering Lurnea, communicating with his alleged victims or any prosecution witnesses, being in any educational facility or being in the presence of a minor unless the child is in the company of a parent or guardian.

Police will allege Brailey, who married just 11 months ago, began talking to the first boy after he added her on Snapchat, before the pair began exchanging sexually explicit videos.
According to documents referred to in court last week, police will allege that a friend who accompanied his first alleged victim to her home in mid-July walked in at a time when she was performing a sexual act on him.
Police will also allege she had sex with the first boy in a car after he snuck out of school to meet her before she went to a pharmacy to buy the morning-after pill.
According to the documents, police will allege she became “hysterical” and admitted things to officers when they confronted her at school last week with the allegations.
His next case is due to appear before Liverpool Local Court on 2 October.
