Expert Warns Meghan and Harry’s ‘Desperate’ Move Into US Politics Could Be a Major Risk

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned to stay silent on US political matters as the 2024 presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump heats up. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have so far avoided taking sides, have been warned that any involvement in politics could backfire.

Royal expert Hugo Vickers spoke to The sunexpressing concern about the potential consequences of the couple getting involved in American politics. “It’s a matter of great danger for them,” Vickers said. He added: “I think everything they do is a desperate attempt to stay relevant and get in the news.”

Vickers criticized the Sussexes’ public involvement, including past efforts to encourage people to vote. “You could say it’s very trivial to put out an ad that says, ‘Go out and vote.’ We know people should do that. It’s not really their place to tell the American people how they should spend their time or what they should do at all,” she explained.

The Royal Expert Vickers also noted that the couple’s actions seem geared toward staying in the public eye. “But in that sense, I see them once again stepping in and seeking publicity because that’s how they stay relevant. They’ve moved into a celebrity status situation, whereby they always have to attract media commentary, otherwise they disappear,” Vickers said.

However, Vickers strongly advised the couple against getting involved in politics. “But they should definitely not get involved in any kind of politics, let alone American politics. They really have no right to do that,” she warned.

The Sussexes, who are high-profile figures in both the United States and the United Kingdom, face particular scrutiny for their actions, especially in the politically charged environment ahead of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Experts and observers alike are urging them to tread carefully, especially when it comes to politics.
