Prince Harry’s ongoing battle with his past has become a hot topic of discussion, with insights from a former adviser and royal experts shedding light on his current outlook. The comments were shared during an interview with Fox News Digital by a former advisor to the Duke of Sussex, who offered a candid perspective on Harry’s situation as he struggles to come to terms with his history.

“All you do is spend time looking back,” the advisor said. “If only I could turn my neck and look forward.” royal editor of The Sunday Times, Roya Nikkhah also joined the conversation offering her analysis of the situation. He expressed doubts about Harry’s willingness or ability to move forward.

“I don’t see that happening at all,” Nikkhah said, referring to the possibility of Harry turning his attention to the future. He added: “I don’t think he wants it, and the royal family certainly doesn’t want it.” Nikkhah noted Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from royal duties in 2020, highlighting the late Queen Elizabeth II’s decision that the couple could not maintain a “half-in, half-out” role within the monarchy.

“And the point of (the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) leaving was that. . . the late queen agreed that you cannot be half in and half out,” Nikkhah said. Reflecting on Harry’s possible wishes, Nikkhah speculated: “I don’t think he wants to return to the UK carrying out official royal duties. Would you like to sometimes join the family at events? Possibly, but I don’t think there is any desire on either side for him to return to fulfill his royal duties again.”

These ideas come amid continued scrutiny of Harry’s public revelations, including his memoirs, Replacementwhich delves into his personal struggles and grievances with the royal family. Critics argue that his focus on past grievances has strained his relationship with the monarchy, making reconciliation increasingly unlikely.

While Harry has openly shared his desire to create a better future for himself and his family, these recent comments suggest that his journey is far from simple. His continuous reflections on past experiences seem to clash with the expectations and desires of both the royal family and some observers.

As Prince Harry continues to navigate life outside the monarchy, the tension between his personal struggles and his future path remains a central point of public interest and debate. Whether he can eventually shift his gaze forward and find peace with his past is a question that only time can answer.
