A new mom couldn’t help but laugh after receiving a meal at the hospital that looked nothing like the picture on the menu.
The woman had just given birth and was looking forward to a tasty dinner after hours without eating, but she did not get what she expected.
The menu advertised a hearty minestrone-style soup with chicken, mushrooms, carrots, herbs, celery, and scallions in a clear broth in a white bowl.
However, he received a ‘frozen’ yellow stew with a dry bread roll and mushy green beans in a ‘sad’ styrofoam container.
Mom didn’t mind the presentation too much and said the soup was ‘delicious’.

‘Hospital food since I just had my baby, but it’s still so delicious!’ she wrote in a mail to the Facebook page What I ordered VS What I got.
Many took advantage of the comments to congratulate the mother on her new arrival and laugh at her confusion with the food.
“You got really dirty with that ‘soup,'” said one woman.
‘Is the soup runny? It looks frozen LOL’ another laughed.
‘WAIT… Is that seriously the menu picture?!’ asked a third.
Someone jokingly offered ‘condolences’ while another said at least the green beans are still green.
“They are really starving us with these portions,” replied one mother.

“I can taste the absence of salt just looking at this image,” wrote a second.
Many more moms shared their experiences of having their first meal after giving birth.
‘That first meal after giving birth just hits different. No matter what it is, it tastes like heaven,’ said one woman.
‘That’s not a lie! I ate cold spaghetti and swore it was the best spaghetti I’ve ever had in my life,” another replied.
A cruise ship passenger had a similar experience when he ordered a fancy fruit plate for his room as a snack.
The woman thought she was ordering a complimentary plate of multiple slices of watermelon, oranges, cantaloupe, and pineapple, as well as grapes and strawberries from room service.
However, what arrived at his doorstep was far from what he expected.

A cruise ship guest was shocked when she ordered a fruit plate from room service only to receive a “sad” snack of just four small slices of fruit.
He got a small plate with a singular slice of pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew.
The guest saw the fun side of the fruit salad fail and shared images of her ‘snack’ in a popular Facebook group.
“I just went on a cruise for my birthday and had a fruit plate delivered to my room as a little snack. The ordering picture is so misleading,” the traveler wrote in a post.
Fortunately, she didn’t have to pay for the ‘pitiful’ snack as the cruise offered free room service at certain times of the day.
Dozens of members of the group criticized the kitchen staff for sending the small plate of fruit and encouraged the guest to complain.
Missing about three fruits! I hope you didn’t pay,’ a woman replied.

“I’d call them back and say, ‘I’d like this to look like the picture you advertised with, thanks,'” another recommended.
Others thought it was funny, and some pointed out that the fruit slices could have been arranged to resemble a sailboat.
‘Is there a chance you’re seeing it wrong and it’s supposed to represent a ship sailing into the sunset? lol’ asked one member.
“Fuckin inflation is really running amok,” a second quipped, while a third laughed: “Talk about portion control, sheesh.”
“Looks like the person who brought it ate the little snack while bringing it, sorry girl,” another guessed.
‘Please tell me you’re kidding?!’ someone else said and a second added: ‘This is so bad it’s funny.’
