EXCLUSIVE Ukrainian refugee who ran away with her British lover before he left her doesn’t attend court ‘after biting a police officer when he went to get her belongings from her home’
The Ukrainian refugee dumped by her British lover after he left her partner and two children for her failed to appear in court today, where she was charged with assaulting a police officer.
Sofia Karkadym, 23, was due to appear before magistrates after she allegedly bit the officer when he was trying to arrest her.
Karkadym had been at the home of her former lover, security guard Tony Garnett, in Bradford, West Yorkshire, where she was collecting her belongings when police were called to the property.
During an altercation, she allegedly bit a police officer and was charged with two counts of assault.
But Karkadym did not attend Bradford Magistrates Court this afternoon and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Mr Garnett told MailOnline: ‘I want to do as little as possible with her. As far as I know, she arrived on Wednesday from the Ukraine. She had come to pick up her things at my house’

Sofia Karkadym, 23, (left) had been at the home of her ex-lover, security guard Tony Garnett, in Bradford, West Yorkshire, where she was collecting his belongings when police were called to the property.

Karkadym was due to appear before magistrates after she allegedly bit the officer when he was trying to arrest her.
Karkadym made headlines after running away with Mr Garnett ten days after she arrived at the house she shared with her partner Lorna Garnett, 29.
He had fled the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.
Mr. Garnett and Ms. Karkadym admitted that they were attracted to each other and moved out of the family home to live with their parents before finding a place to rent.
In the early stages of their affair, the couple was happy and even talked about getting married and spending the rest of their lives together.
But the romance cooled after a series of arguments that he claimed stemmed from her drinking strong beer and throwing tantrums.

Karkadym did not attend Bradford Magistrates Court this afternoon and a warrant for her arrest has been issued.

Lorna Garnett (pictured with her ex-partner Tony) let the Ukrainian woman into her home before her partner and the refugee began a relationship.
Karkadym admitted that it was difficult for him that he could not have more children (he had a vasectomy) and that he already had two children with his ex-partner, whom he used to speak fondly of.
The couple had a fiery relationship, both being detained on different occasions by the police for possible disturbances of public order.
Karkadym flew back to the Ukraine last year, only for Mr. Garrett to fly there and bring her back.
But three months ago the couple finally broke up, and Karkadym returned to Ukraine.
She had returned to the UK to collect her things from Mr Garnett’s house when a fight is believed to have broken out between the former couple.
At magistrates court today Mr Garnett was seen outside but there was no sign of Karkadym.
Mr Garnett told MailOnline: ‘I want to do as little as possible with her. As far as I know, she arrived on Wednesday from the Ukraine. She had come to pick up her things at my house.
‘I don’t know where he is now. I’m not in contact with her much because now I have a new girlfriend and I’ve moved on.’
