Love Island stars Zach Noble and Mitch Taylor threatened to call out Kady McDermott for having a ‘secret boyfriend’ during the live reunion show but were shut down by ITV producers.
The cast of the latest series reunited with presenter Maya Jama, 28, on Sunday night to address the off-screen drama that has ensued since Jess Harding and Sammy Root won the £50,000 prize.
After being dumped, Kady accused Molly Marsh of making nasty comments towards her and not being a girls’ girl, prompting a defensive reaction from her former love interest.
Zach lashed out at Kady for having ‘our name in her mouth’ after she voiced her opinion of the couple in multiple podcast interviews, with the 2016 Islander saying: ‘enjoy your five minutes of fame!’
And Zach, who was previously paired with Kady when she stole him from Molly, leaving her jilted, wanted to up the ante by accusing her of having a boyfriend the entire time she was in the villa this season.

After earning the nickname ‘Messy Mitch’, the gas salesman was also willing to ask Kady on camera the truth behind the continued speculation that she had a boyfriend while in the villa.
A source told MailOnline: “All the islanders knew about Kady’s boyfriend and were desperate to call her during the live meeting, so she had no choice but to face the accusation.”
“But the producers of Love Island warned Zach and Mitch against it, telling them to keep the show as ‘friendly’ as possible.
“They are embarrassed that Kady’s return was her big reveal this season and disappointed that she didn’t admit to having a long-term boyfriend when she was approached about coming back.
“But the islanders can’t be controlled forever, especially since Kady is so headstrong…they’ll accuse her of dishonesty.”
After earning the nickname ‘Messy Mitch’ this season, the gas salesman was also keen to ask Kady on camera the truth behind the continued speculation that she had a boyfriend while searching for love on the show.
And Mitch has finally had his say now that he’s no longer under the control of the producers and living in the TV village.
In an interview, she said, “You’re calling me and Ella B fake, but you came in with a boyfriend.” You have a boyfriend to this day.
“And the other girls have told me I’m not going to name names because I’m just taking all of this. You had your boyfriend’s bracelet that he gave you, your boyfriend was at your house while you were there and you’re calling me fake. Kady called me fake when Kady was doing more.
A source told MailOnline that the islanders are aware of Kady’s boyfriend and Mitch claimed in an interview on Monday that the islander “has a boyfriend to this day”.
Tensions rose at the meeting after Kady said she was “upset” to see a clip in which Molly admitted to being relieved that she had been dumped because she didn’t like seeing Kady and Zach together.

It has been claimed that Kady’s ‘secret boyfriend’ is Liam Greer, who earlier this year admitted to money laundering and is due to be sentenced on August 18.
On September 9, 2022, Liam was charged with the offense just six months after returning from an idyllic holiday in the Maldives with Kady.
In exclusive photos posted by MailOnline, Kady can be seen sunbathing alongside Liam in March 2022 despite the father-of-three being investigated by police.
The Love Island star’s renovated home in Hertfordshire, where Mitchell alleges Liam lived while Kady turned up on Love Island this summer, was searched as part of the investigation.
Kady has been out of the Love Island villa for several weeks, but has yet to address the claims that she had a boyfriend during her appearance on the show.
She is now dating Ouzy See, whom she met this season, and told Maya during the meeting that they have plans to meet Kady’s mom and dog.
