Ben Affleck’s romance with Jennifer Lopez has strengthened his relationship with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner – and the “past drama” and “emotions” related to their “divorce” are “long gone.”

Affleck, 51, and Garner, also 51 — who share daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 13, and son Samuel, 11 — were spotted looking extremely friendly on Tuesday, eight years after splitting.

The two stars married in 2005 but split 10 years later, and after ending their marriage, Affleck reconciled with his former lover Lopez, 54, who he was engaged to in the early 2000s , a few years before meeting Garner.

Now, a source close to the actor and Jenny From the Block singer has claimed that it was actually his new romance with Lopez that finally helped him and Garner find peace.

The two stars (seen together this week) married in 2005 but split 10 years later, and after ending their marriage, Affleck reconciled with his former lover Lopez, 54.

“One of the things that got (Garner) and (Affleck) to a better place was – and still is – JLO,” they shared.

“Ben is in good health. The past drama and emotions of divorce are long gone and they all contribute to making it work.

They added that Lopez and Garner are “friendly” with each other and that all of their children “love each other.”

“It’s definitely a very happy co-parenting situation,” the source explained. “Everything is really good right now and should be the same in the near and distant future.”

The source said the Dazed and Confused star and the hitmaker, who tied the knot last July, are “very much in love with each other” a year after their wedding.

“Their relationship is still on fire. They are really happy with each other and there is no drama in their relationship at the moment,” they revealed.

They added that although Affleck is eager to return to work as the writers’ and actors’ strikes come to an end, the couple has “enjoyed” having more time to spend together in recent months.

“They want to return to work and are looking forward to the end of the strikes, but they also really enjoy the time they spend together,” they continued.

The source explained that Lopez even turns to Affleck for advice on how to co-parent with her ex, Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 15-year-old twins, Maximilian “Max” David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz.

“JLO and Ben have had many discussions about how she treats (Anthony), and they’ve all been able to understand it. It’s truly inspiring and great to see,” they said.

Photographers caught Affleck and Garner meeting in Los Angeles this week, before getting into his black Mercedes-Benz together.

A few days earlier, they were seen sharing an affectionate moment together in his car.

He was pictured leaning his head on the 13 Going on 30 star’s shoulder as she gave him a hug.

Affleck and Garner first met while working on films such as Pearl Harbor and Daredevil, in which they starred. Garner was previously married to Scott Foley and their marriage lasted from 2000 to 2004.

Following this separation, the actress left Affleck, with whom she married in Turks And Caicos in 2005.

The couple started their family with the birth of Violet, which took place that year, and they added Seraphina and Samuel to their family in 2009 and 2012, respectively.

They remained together until 2015 when they announced their separation, although they waited three years before finalizing their divorce.
