EXCLUSIVE: "I tried to rape her, but she broke loose." Cabinet maker, 26, confesses a Jetstar flight attendant attacking a toilet in Melbourne Airport because he "has an urge to put women to to hit & # 39;

A New Zealander who tried to rape a stewardess at one of the busiest airports in Australia had previously escaped from Bali after a similar attack.

Grayson Murphy, 26, from Christchurch, had waited to board a plane back to his homeland at Melbourne Airport when his pressure took over.

Later he told the police that he intended to drop Jetstar's hostess and rape her.

I grabbed a girl and I tried to rape her, but she broke free, "he told the Australian Federal Police when he was arrested.

The woman had been working at the customer service in April at 5.15 am when she went to the toilets.

Murphy had been released from a psychiatric institution in Perth not long ago after he quickly retired from the Bali resort, where he had attacked another woman.

Another airport employee noticed that Murphy was looking at the toilets as she went inside.

She then noticed that Murphy was in a pen and seemed to be standing so that his shoes could be seen under the door.

His victim was about to wash her hands when Murphy lifted herself.

& # 39; Come on treasure & # 39; he repeated as he tried to pull the terrified woman into the loft.

When the other woman who had been in the toilets got the woman's help, Murphy said he knew her and continued his attack.

She finally broke free and Murphy fled.

Later he told a friend what had happened.

I sat in the girl's toilet and I grabbed a girl and another girl took her away from me, & # 39; he said.

Murphy pleaded guilty in the County Court of Victoria for an allegation of mistreatment in an attempted sexual assault.

He was in prison for 15 years.

Judge John Carmody said that Murphy chose his victim because she was attractive.

& # 39; So you wanted to have sex with her. You said you defined rape in the police as having sex with someone without them, "he said.

"You recognized that she was probably afraid, did not know what was going on and was threatened. & # 39;

The attack had destroyed the young woman, who remained scared and unable to do her work, socialize and take part in her fitness competitions.

She has lost her sport, her confidence in a social environment and people in general trust, & # 39; said Judge Carmody.

Murphy was only in Australia for three years when he performed the nauseating attack.

The court heard that he was lucky that he did not rot in a Bali prison.

& # 39; You are fortunate that your relatives have acted so quickly to save you and evacuate you from Bali & # 39 ;, Judge Carmody said.

A psychiatrist said that Murphy had tried to "gasses" himself & # 39; at Bali Airport after hearing voices.

During pre-trial detention, Murphy attacked a female prison worker and was locked.

He told the doctor that he had an urge to touch and release women … Just touch & # 39; with the fear that something bad would happen & # 39; if he did not.

Judge Carmody accepted that Murphy was suffering from an underlying mental disorder.

He condemned and sentenced Murphy to three years in prison, with a non-parole period of two years.
