Princess Mary’s nephew, Count Nikolai of Denmark, has been spotted in Sydney as he prepares to start a new chapter of his life in Australia, after his grandmother stripped him of his royal title of Her Royal Highness.
On Saturday, 23-year-old Nikolai was seen going out for morning coffee with a sportsman friend in the port city.
In tan slacks and a leather jacket over a blue knit jumper, the Danish royals looked stylish.
Nikolai seemed to be adjusting well to the laid back Australian lifestyle as he laughed with his friend.
The count has traveled to Australia to study an exchange semester at the Technological University of Sydney, accompanied by his glamorous girlfriend, the designer Benedikte Thoustrup.
The couple lives together in Copenhagen, but moved to Sydney to study from August 1 to November 30.
