They checked something inside the house before leaving the property after about 20 minutes.
A spokesperson for the Cedar Grove Police Department told DailyMail.com that the call came from another property in the neighborhood and that no fire actually broke out.
A car believed to belong to Rodgers was seen leaving the property earlier in the day, but it was unclear if the quarterback was inside.
The former Green Bay Packers star appeared to add an extra level of privacy to the home earlier in the day, with workers constructing a rock wall around the property.
New posts were added to the driveway to make room for a new privacy gate, which will open and close when Rodgers leaves or arrives at the property.
